Easy to charge with included charging stand, two-hour charge time required, but the shaver can be used with the power cord also which is a major convenience to me. Product is easy to handle, small, very easy to maneuver, requires a light touch, shaves so close to the skin that I feel as though it were a regular blade, very smooth shave..manufacturer suggests replacing foils and cutters every 6 months which is not unreasonable, the price is right... every thing about this shaver just clicks with me and I surely will recommend it to everybody. I prefer to use an electric pre-shave lotion prior to using the shaver because the shave is ever so much smoother for me that way. All in all, this is the best electric that I have ever owned. Period.

This Andis Foil Electric Shaver, the so-called TS-2, is a decent product, and I’m glad I chose this over the similarly-priced rotary I was considering. I’ve used this exclusively for a month straight, no razors, twice a week, and it gave me a decent shave. No, it’s not as close as my Mach 3, but it’s much better than I expected. Definitely a good alternative when I don’t want to go through the whole shaving ritual. I do find I have to take it slow and gentle when going over the neck area to avoid irritation, and I sometimes have to make multiple passes to cut a few stragglers that desperately don’t want to get cut, but all-in-all the end result is pretty good with my course sandpaper facial hair with three days’ growth. My shaving schedule consists of using the Andis every Wednesday to tidy up the appearance until the next shave with the Mach 3 on Sunday. Works for me. The charging base is nice, and the build quality seems okay (lightweight plastic), nothing premium, but that’s not an issue for me. The clear plastic cover is decent, and no issues gripping the unit when shaving. As far as battery life, I couldn’t tell you; I never ran down the battery as I charge up before every shave, then unplug the unit until the next session. Regarding the motor, this thing is loud, but I guess that’s a good sign; however, I find the included cleaning brush ineffective at reaching into the nooks and crannies of the unit after shaving, so I use my own brush with a longer stem. Lastly, what prevents me from giving this Andis Foil Shaver a perfect rating is the weird, soot-like residue that gets left behind on my face after shaving…have no idea what it is exactly. Ground-up hair? A substance from the blades? I have no clue what the residue is, but it sometimes looks like I crawled out of a coal mine after shaving and I immediately have to wash my face to get it off. Nevertheless, this was a good buy.

Wow! This is the first time I tried a foil shaver and I couldn't believe how extremely close the shave was. I am happy I tried a foil shaver. The only thing is, I didn't know how delicate the foils are and I accidentally made a small dent on the edge of one of the foils. Nevertheless, I was still able to use it. I'm not sure if this kind of shave is for everyone, but I sure recommend foil shavers. As to the brand, I think it's going to be alright, but I won't know that until I've had this one for at least three years. My previous electric shaver with the three round blades I've had for over three years and still works great. I tried a foil shaver because I feel the round head shavers I've had did not shave close enough for my taste. Also, it seems that replacing the blades and foils cost less than replacing the round blades. Update: Still enjoying my new foil electric shaver. Just a word of warning - this electric shaver is louder than my previous round blade ones. My wife asked me once if I was using our lawn mower to shave my face. She's joking, of course, and it's not as loud as a lawn mover. But I don't mind it at all. I am truly satisfied with how close it shaves. Shaves like a straight razor, but just not as quiet.😂

Very noisy,pulls facial hairs1 &1/2 day growth, not easy to use. I have been using a Phillips Norelco 2400 series and wanted to try the Andis TS-2. I was disappointed the Phillips is much quiter. It is easier to clean and can also be used for a wet shave. I had thrown the box away so I could not return it. Product has to be treatd gently so as not to dent the foils. The philips also shaved closer as it has rotary blades Would not recommend
