I bought this product about 2 1/2 years ago and I want to say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever bought off Amazon. I used to shave my head with just a regular razor and it would take forever. Thankfully I went ahead and got this thing right before I started the police Academy and it saved me so much time. Less than two minutes I could shave my entire head and face baby butt smooth for morning inspections. I have very rough, ethnic curly hair and always get razor bumps. I wish I would’ve used this product years ago before all my acne scarring because I never get any bumps from using this thing on my face or my head worth every penny and outperforms any other shaver worth twice it’s price.     • Easy and effective to use

Very easy and effective to use, I shave my entire head every day with the shaver and am able to get a smooth surface within a matter of a few minutes. The battery lasts long and is also quick to charge. It's lightweight, easy to hold, and small enough to fit in my hand very comfortably. The only complaint that I have is that the device is a bit fragile if dropped, I dropped mine and it just completely broke - I had to buy a new one.     • Solid head shaver with a few quirks

Started using this July 31st, just now put it on for its first full charge on September 4th after using it every other day. The good: Powerful motor and blades Easy to clean - especially compared to Freebird brand which I was using previously Comfortable design - works well wet or dry but ideally it works best with some shave cream. The less good: The charge port cover isn't attached in any way once you remove it to charge so the possibility of losing it is high, keep an eye on it It cuts close, but not as close as a regular razor. It works better on an every-other-day or every-three-days basis for me, but your mileage may vary depending on your hair type (mine is pretty fine texture). Overall, a great razor with minor issues, the charge port cover is my biggest concern. The display of charge is great too - even though this was the first charge of it, I still had 12% battery left, just didn't want to risk a half-shave before it died. ... show more

    • Pitbull Gold PRO GX5 is okay

Pitbull Gold PRO GX5 was delivered 10Aug25 and first shave was 11Aug25. I purchased this because the Remington Balder Pro XR7000A wouldn't turn on. What I like about the Pitbull Gold Pro GX5: It's easy to see the percent of charge remaining in the LED readout. It is more comfortable in the hand than the Remington. What I don't like about the Pitbull: A more complex shaver head mechanism than the Remington makes it more difficult to clean. The Platinum rinse stand leaves a film of dust particles all over the rinse stand and the Pitbull shaver head mechanism requiring extra cleaning to get all those dust particles off. While the Pitbull is more comfortable in the hand than the Remington, the Remington provides a closer shave. The Pitbull leaves a very short stubble on the skull while the Remington gets down to the skin. After using the Pitbull, I was needing to use my face shaver on my skull to get a closer shave. This is why I'm giving the Pitbull Gold Pro GX5 a 4 star rating and titling this review that it is "okay." The Remington wouldn't turn on back earlier this month prompting the purchase of the Pitbull, but the Remington began working again so I'm going to be using it rather than the Pitbull. ... show more

    • GARBAGE PRODUCT, STAY AWAY! CHARGING ISSUES (3 Refurbished handles-lasted 2 months each)

I purchase the Pitbull GOLD Pro skull shaver on July 24, 2024. I had purchased a generic head shaver a few months before and had been using that one, but I decided to purchase a supposed better and more expensive head shaver. WHAT A MISTAKE! First of all, customer service is emails. That is what they recommend. I am not even sure if they have a number to call. Now, keep in my mind that I only shave my head twice a week. In early September, I used it for the first time and by mid-October I had some charging issues where it was difficult to get to charge or would lose the charge. That happened 2 or three times but began working fine until December when I could not get it to charge. At the end of December, I contacted them, but the 30-day warranty had expired so I had a few options, and I opted to send it back at my cost for the shipping for a REFURBISHED handle to be send to me as a replacement. I received it in early January, but by February, the same issues happened with it dropping from 40% to 0 in seconds and difficulty to get it to even charge at all. They sent another REFURBISHED handle and that lasted 2 months (early April) and the same thing happened. They send out another REFURBISHED handle and currently this one lasted until early June and completely died by the third week of June. 3 REFURBISHED handles that all lasted 2 moths plus the supposed NEW one that came with the purchase that lasted a few months. Currently, I am offered the same options........New one with a brand new warranty at full price, pay a refundable invoice that they refund when they get the defective one back at YOUR cost on shipping and send out another piece of REFURBISHED garbage. So, that is where I am currently. I am debating if I want to spend $7 and have to deal with the same nonsense again in two months. I even asked for a replacement cord to be send because how can all the handles have issues charging or keeping a charge, but they said that cord was 30 day warranty, and I had to purchase a new one. I had high hopes for this shaver and figured that would be my new head shaver, but no such luck. The customer service responded quick to the emails and were polite, but very generic as they have a few policies that they have to follow. However, after my experience, I find the product to be garbage, and I lost faith in the reliability of the product. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND THE HEADACHE and go elsewhere. There are so many other shavers and companies to go with instead of this one. ... show more
