I looked at a few of the more inexpensive pedal exercisers but they didn't seem as sturdy. I'm glad I decided on this one because it turned out to be very sturdy and it's easy to set the tension and meter and keep it in view while exercising. I also like that it is easy to grip and move from room to room and best of all, it is noiseLESS!! The only con is that it does not grip the floor and moves a bit when the tension is high, however they all seem to have this issue; this one does come with a strap that can be used around a chair to keep it in place while using it. My husband who had knee surgery a fe w months ago finds it very useful in strengthening his leg, and even me, on my off gym days find that I can get a good sweat after 20 to 30 minutes at high tension. This is definitely a good buy.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this pedal exerciser for my 78 year old aunt who has Parkinson's. She is able, at this point, to pick up the pedal exerciser, move and position it, put her feet in snd move back. She moves it from the front of the chair to the side (not very far). I am able to move it using one hand. It is very sturdy and does not move while she is using it. The adjustment knob turns easily and stays in place once set. My aunt uses it up to level 3. After level 3 the resistance is too much for her. In my opinion, I am not an avid exerciser, one could get a good workout if setting at a higher resistance. The operation is smooth and quiet. It comes with hand grips but we have not used them.

I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 since I have barely used it yet. The only downfall so far is that it slides badly on my hardwood floors. I put a rubber pad under it & it made quite a difference. It feels very sturdy so far & pedals easily. It is also not too heavy for me to pick up & put away when I'm done. Makes you feel like you got some good exercise!

I read all of the reviews, but was still skeptical. I scored this on a lightning deal and am so glad I did. I have had a lot of foot pain problems, and when every step hurts, exercise is difficult to face. I should be swimming, I know. This thing rocks! It is silent and smooth and it is possible to use it and forget you are exercising. Right now, in my first two weeks, I am focused on reps, not high tension. I use it with a recliner with two pillows behind my back. I use it while crocheting my huge blanket project for my son’s wedding gift, working, watching t.v., etc. My kids love it too! I am so glad I found this - pain-free, seamless, always-there exercise. No more excuses, but it is easy to get exercise in now. I am truly thankful I found this. Edit after not very long use, the pedals started falling off since they were unscrewing. Not long after,, the screws for the pedals were stripped and just fell off- we were not able to screw them back in. It was not used that long, but I did love it when it worked.

It's a great concept and it definitely works your legs and thighs and if I could get it to stop moving while I am using it I would give it a much higher rating. I've tried it on the rug and tile and it constantly scoots. The feet on the legs also fall off easily so right now it's cumbersome. I'm not sure what to do to keep it more stable. The other thing I don't like is the display, it's so small for my old eyes I can't discern what I'm seeing. would like to have the tickmarks larger so I know if it's distance, time, etc.

This exerciser has worked well for me, purchased to aid in rehabbing a torn Achilles and pleasantly surprised with it. It is not real heavy so pretty easy to move & has a fair amount of flexibility. For me, it was a very good buy for my need.

I was shockingly surprised at the sturdiness of the product and how balanced it was. It took me only a few minutes to assemble with the tools provided and was not difficult to do. I as initially unsure of how much of a workout I would get but was pleasantly surprised and started using it immediately. It is great for compact spaces and does not weigh enough to be any trouble moving from place to place. I appreciated the convenient strap that comes with it in order to anchor to the chair you are sitting in which works really well in an office setting. I would highly recommend!
