I have had a solar electric system in my off-grid cabin for nearly 40 years and have had to replace the lead-acid batteries every three years or so. I was coming up to yet another replacement when I heard about the LiFePO4 batteries and started researching them. I spent a lot of the winter of 2022-23 reading online reviews and articles about this battery technology and finally decided to bite the bullet and put out the significant cash (compared to the cost of lead-acid) to get one. I bought a LiTime 200Ah LiFePO4 battery and have used it for one summer season so far at my cabin. With the change in the battery type I needed to replace the charge controller and bought a LiTime 30A MPPT controller (to be reviewed with that item) and the battery and controller were wired in and off we went. The results: as good as expected, and even exceeded. The charge characteristics of a LiFePO4 are perfect for my cabin installation, particularly in late summer and early autumn. Lead-acid of course needs a rather long dwell time of the charge current to attain full charge. Due to the cabin's latitude I cannot get a long enough dwell time late in the season to effect a full charge on a lead-acid battery and I always had to supplement the charging with my gasoline generator. With the LiFePO4 battery I never had to use the generator once this season for charging! Were there days that the battery didn't fully recharge, of course, especially on cloudy days. But this battery has enough reserve capacity to carry on and the charging characteristics of the LiFePO4 chemistry and MPPT controller got it back to full charge on the next full sun day, no matter what part of the season we were in. The only drawback I see to a LiFePO4 battery (without a heater) is not being able to charge in sub-freezing temperatures, but my cabin gets closed before that happens and battery comes home to reside in my heated basement for the winter. The attached pictures show the battery in various stages. One is the bare battery connected to the system, second is the battery in the "battery box" I found for it, which is a Harbor Freight plastic tool box that was the perfect size, and finally the battery in its box under the cabin where it lives for the season while in use. I am looking forward to many more years of use of this battery in my solar electric system.

A good friend who knows RV Boondocking like no other said this is the most tech, quality and performance for the buck. Put a 300w panel on my RV with Renogy 20A mppt and blue tooth feeding this 200AH workhorse. Simple quality. Good features and price, for sure. Sooo glad I upgraded!

Shippping was fast. For the most part the battery did great. My issue was something was wrong with the bms. Customer service was great and worked with me to try to figure out the problem but in the end they refunded my money. So I bought a different battery from them one without the self heating.

Great product and great customer service. This battery replaced a heavy (116 lbs) 8D sealed lead acid battery. This battery only weighs around 46 lbs and is narrower than the original battery. With lights, TV and portable heating/cooling unit, the total watt load was 1180 watts. The 200 Ah battery will yield about 2 hours of run time. However, I ran a duration test with that 1180 watt load and saw 7 hours, 14 minutes of run time. Once the shelter reached the desired temperature of 72F, the watt load reduced. The outside temperature was 37F and inside shelter was 44F. To support the weight of the inverter, I added a 2x6 and 3/4" piece of plywood to the top of the battery before closing the lid on the container. The container was purchased separately. I would recommend this battery to anyone. Greg

This is my second battery like this. First thing I did was a capacity test. Still going at 2500wh, stopped it then as I didn’t want to run it to zero. I’ve been running these two batteries now for several months and no problems. Have them hooked up to a 3K inverter. Highly recommend.
