I've purchased a few dozen SER5 for my office workers and they love the compact size and performance. If I had to give one negative it would be the slow speed of driver releases. These ARE custom designed PCs so I understand not as many updates need to be done, but I do wish BIOS updates happened more often and were easier to get. That is my ONLY complaint. I'll start by saying, I'm very impressed by how well this mini PC runs modern AAA title games. When I was running on Windows, I could run MW3 at around 75 FPS average with medium settings, 1080p. I've since installed Linux on it, and everything runs flawlessly thanks to the AMD iGPU. This makes a great workstation PC without taking a ton of space on or around your desk, and it's an even better travel PC.     • Underpowered PSU and unstable USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) — not suitable for external SSD workloads

I purchased the SER5 MAX specifically for its Ryzen 7 6800U processor, which supports USB4 — I needed reliable high-speed connectivity to a SanDisk Professional PRO-G40 external SSD. Two significant issues: 1. Ships with an inadequate power supply. The included 65W adapter cannot sustain the 6800U under load, causing random shutdowns. This is a known issue documented on Beelink's own forums. After contacting support, they sent a 120W replacement — but it took nearly a month to arrive (delayed by Chinese New Year and slow international shipping with a tracking link that didn't work). The replacement PSU resolved the shutdown issue. 2. USB-C port does not support USB4. Despite the 6800U processor natively supporting USB4 (40Gbps), Beelink did not implement it. The USB-C port is limited to USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps). Beelink confirmed this and suggested I return the unit. Worse, the USB 3.2 implementation itself is unstable — my external SSD disconnects after approximately 20 minutes of operation, even connected directly without a hub. The 120W PSU did not resolve this. Bottom line: The hardware is capable on paper, but the power supply and USB implementation undermine it. If you need reliable USB-C connectivity to external storage, look elsewhere. Support was responsive but slow to deliver, and had no solution beyond the PSU replacement. ... show more

Monster PC in a small box! I got it mostly for retro emulator gaming, it will run Crysis, Battlefield 4, Burnout Paradise City in very high detail. Its way better than those android emulator boxes I've tried, because they couldn't play the hardest games. Its not always about the emulator you're using, and sometimes it comes down to hardware. This BeeLink pc easily handled nearly everything i threw at it. Its fast, easy to setup and also had wifi! Its a great little PC for gaming or any other uses. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

I bought this to be a game emulation PC and has chewed up everything I've thrown at it, even the more modern game consoles. I have one complaint. The "single" USB 3.0 port is on the FRONT? Really? I want to like this machine, because the hardware itself is solid. Unfortunately, it shipped with a power adapter that caused constant hard shutdown when the system was idle. This wasn’t a Windows issue, a driver issue, or a heat issue. The PC would run games or video for hours without a problem, but if I walked away and left it alone for 10–20 minutes, it would abruptly shut down with no warning. I went deep on troubleshooting and confirmed all Windows sleep states were disabled on this system. Event logs consistently showed Kernel-Power Event 41 and unexpected shutdowns, with no evidence that Windows was initiating anything. That combination points to power or firmware cutting out underneath the OS, and that’s exactly what it turned out to be. Replacing the included power adapter with 19V 6.32A 5.26A MINI PC AC Adapter that is compatible with the SER5 immediately fixed the problem. The system now idles indefinitely without a single unexpected shutdown. The issue was low-power stability, not load, which is why it was so confusing at first. Under load, voltage stayed stable. At idle, it didn’t. This is frustrating because most users would assume the PC itself is defective or blame Windows 11 and return it. Worse, Beelink has removed public support and driver pages for this model, which makes diagnosing issues like this harder than it should be. The takeaway is simple: the PC itself is fine, but the included power adapter is not reliable. If you buy this, plan on replacing the power brick immediately if you want stability, especially for always-on or server-style use. Beelink really needs to do better here. ... show more
