  • Well made but expensive!
Love the built-in distribution/connections. It's expensive but very well designed/made. This was designed by someone who actually uses the product and it shows. Very versatile and very high quality product.

  • Had to return it it was getting hot at low charge voltage.
I had to return it. It was getting very hot on the top of the battery when charging at only 2 amps and the voltage was only at 14v with a proper charger. Tried another charger as well same thing. And it would get hot quickly even after waiting and connecting back to the 2 amp charger it would get hot after just being on the 2 amp charge for like 5 minutes. The manual has a couple conflicting things in it as well. One spot it says max charge voltage is 14.5v then in the chart it says fully charged voltage is 13.6V and remove from charging when it hits its max voltage to avoid damage to battery... It seems like this power S5 is a 5 cell in which case max charge voltage would be around 13.6 to 14v volts ( 2.7 to 2.8v per cell) ? Which would make anything over 14v too high? And if says to not keep charging once it hits it fully charged voltage of 13.6 volts? A car charges 14 to 14.6 volts so...?? Not sure what the deal is? Maybe I just got a bad one or something. ... show more
