    • Within a month this battery had a bad cell but it had a good warranty
This battery (yellow top) had a bad cell. Amazon online won't refund my money because of a 30 day return policy. They sold me defective products. I had it for 4 1/2 weeks and now I have to replace it. However, after calling Optima they said that it has a 3-year warranty and to call Amazon to honor this warranty and they gave me Amazon phone number. I did as optima instructed and Amazon contacted optima and then Amazon refunded my money under warranty. I feel a lot better now that this issue was finally resolved. ... show more

    • Purchased for C7 Corvette But Amazon Dropped The Ball
Purchased this on 1/24/23 with delivery scheduled for 1/27/23. Morning of 1/27, I get an email from Amazon, "Shipper returning product to Amazon. Refund to be issued within 7 days". I assume they dropped it and cracked it open. It's now 2/6/23, and the latest from Amazon, "Refund to be issued within 7 days after receipt of product back to Amazon." Yes, my VISA was charged. Not happy about that at all. Now, about the battery. I have used both yellow top and red top Optima batteries in all of my cars, especially my Corvettes over the years without issue. Batteries last 5 to 7 years, much better than the 2 to 3 years the OEM batteries last. The handle on this one was instrumental to an easy install on my C7 Corvette. The removal of the AC/Delco OEM battery? Not so much. After some pinched fingers and bruised knuckles, I finally was able to remove the old battery. Whomever designed the C7 battery location in the truck with nearly no room around the battery was out of their damn mind. It's a design similar to German BMWs, Mercedes, Audi's and more, where they don't want you to maintain your own vehicle but instead take it to the stealership. As far as the other reviewers, about less than optimal battery life from current Mexico production batteries, I cannot comment on. I can say both my 2003 C5 Corvette and my 2012 C6 Corvette both have the Optima batteries and both are going on 7 plus years and still hold a charge and crank the cars with gusto. I ended up purchasing a new Optima from a local auto parts store and so far, am very happy. It’s putting out 14 volts and the 800 CCA kick the starter into compliance without issue. No more sluggish and slow starts like the dying AC/Delco battery. ... show more

    • They do not take care of warranty issues when purchased thru Amazon
It claims to have a 3 year warranty. I placed a claim with Optima three days before the 3 years ended due to the battery not taking a charge in my wifes car. I had the battery tested at Auto zone and they confirmed it was dead but could not honor the warranty because they did not sell it. Optima claims took all my information on the purchase and said they would be in touch with Amazon who has no record of anything and claim they do not handle the warranty after 30 days. I have called and texted Optima and they last said it is being worked on and the very last text received no answer at all. its been three weeks since I placed the claim and my wifes car just sit in the driveway not moving. Its a good battery with a good warranty but a poor company in taking care of a claim. With all the other choices who have the ability to take care of a warranty like Walmart I would not buy this battery again. ... show more

Amazon says it does not fit a Chrysler Pacifica; Optima's web site says it does fit a Chrysler Pacifica. I bought one after checking the dimensions and they were near an exact match. as you can see from the photo it is a perfect fit. I'm guessing Amazon fitment does not know the difference between a vehicle with stop/start technology and one without. When I listed my vehicle on Amazon, they don't have stop/start technology as an option. ... show more

Running a battery isolator I needed a sealed AGM battery capable of running approximately 2000 Watts RMS between my 4 channel amplifier & my monoblock amplifier. I purchased a Kinetik battery however I wanted a one and done power source and I'm extremely pleased I have it. I used a lead acid close/equal to this with fantastic consistent sound.
