I’m really happy with this jacket overall. The quality is fantastic, and you can tell the construction was done with care. The fabric feels thick and durable, the stitching is clean, and it just has that solid, well-made feel when you put it on. It looks sharp too, with a great texture and finish that make it feel like something much more expensive. The fit is exactly what I wanted. The oversized style gives it a relaxed, comfortable look, and it layers easily over hoodies or sweaters without feeling too tight. It’s definitely roomy but still manages to keep a nice shape. The material feels soft and smooth on the inside, and it’s comfortable enough to wear all day. The value for the price is excellent. You’re getting a jacket that looks and feels premium at a very reasonable cost, and that’s not always easy to find. If I had to point out a couple of small negatives, the shoulders are a bit broader than I expected, which makes them stand out more than I’d like. It’s not bad, just something to note if you prefer a more fitted look. The other minor issue is that there aren’t any easy, quick-access pockets. I found myself wishing there were a couple of spots to rest my hands or stash small items. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars. The quality and feel are amazing, the fit is comfortable, and it’s absolutely worth the price. With a few small design tweaks, it would be perfect.

Fit and Comfort (Over-sized & Warm) The emphasis on an OVER-SIZED FIT is immediately appealing for layering. It has a roomy feel through the shoulders, chest, and waist. This type of fit is great for a cold-weather coat, as it allows for thick sweaters underneath without feeling restrictive. Furthermore, the internal comfort has an interior quilted lining, which has excellent insulation and warmth. The ribbed cuffs are effective in sealing out drafts... This coat is built to handle seriously low temperatures while keeping the you cozy. Materials and Durability The shell fabric is specified as WATER-RESISTANT NYLON CANVAS (100% Nylon plain weave). The nylon canvas material is tough enough for daily wear and tear, and the water-resistant quality is excellent for protection against rain, sleet, or snow. The fabric choice makes this coat capable of standing up to the elements season after season. Thoughtful Details and Functionality Where this parka truly shines is in its functional details. The manufacture clearly focused on utility and being sealed when zipped and buttoned up tightly. It features a closure system with a hidden two-way zipper and snap closure. This allows for flexibility in movement and enhanced protection against wind. The leading description says "Over-sized" it is not over-sized to the point that you need to order a size or two down - I ordered the size that I normally would wear in a winter coat and this fit is perfect. Storage (pockets) is well-thought-out: Two front welt pockets for warming hands. Two large patch pockets with flap and snap closure for secure storage. A chest pocket on the inside, perfect for keeping a phone or wallet secure and warm. Finally, the adjustable hood offers customizable head and neck protection. The design is that of a true, heavy-duty winter parka. At a GARMENT LENGTH of 37 inches (on a size medium), it offers substantial coverage over the hips and upper thighs. I found the length of the XXl to be perfect and I am 6'1" Verdict: The Amazon Essentials Parka, as endorsed by Demi Lovato, appears to be a five-star option for anyone seeking a warm, durable, and functional coat with a relaxed, modern fit. It’s an investment in comfort and protection against the cold. Highly recommended.

My husband is 6', 190, and I got him the XL. It fits, but is a definitely an oversized fit. He likes it with another jacket underneath, and says it's nice and warm for shoveling snow. Comfortable and nice movement, and helps reduce wind feel. The quality is pretty high. The black color looks nice. About what I'd expect for around $100.

I'll start off by saying this is not a hundred dollar parka. Maybe a $65 parka, but not $100. That being said, it really is a comfortable jacket. I'm 6'3" and it fits me great and goes almost all the way to my knees. It's pretty darn warm and therefore is decently thick but I don't quite know what to expect for its longevity. I'll need to really wear it for a year or two to determine that. Overall the quality is really decent and thats why I think reasonably it should go for $65 all day long. Just sounds a bit steep to me at $100. I don't love that the pockets are so high up on the jacket and that they don't have any warm fuzzy material inside. There are a multitude of pockets though. This parka is like the cargo pants of the jacket world. The listing says heavyweight but I think I would probably more put it in the medium-weight category.

I got a too-big version. I’m 5’2”, 200lbs and got a 3X. Why? Because I wanted it to fit over anything I was wearing at the time and still zip comfortably - and it does! That said… it’s too big. But I’m still wearing it. I’m giving it 5 stars. This jacket is a tool in a winter arsenal, but, if you live in MN or a similarly cold state, you will need to layer proactively throughout the winter if this is your only jacket. The biggest test I’ve been able to give it was Black Friday, standing in line at a store in 15°F at six in the morning for 15 minutes. I wasn’t intolerably cold, but I could feel myself loosing heat through the shoulders. You’ll need to layer up for those sub-zero days and no mistake.
