Love the Chi flat iron. I upgraded from an older iron because I liked the temperature function and that this model turns off when sitting idle. The ceramic plates cause no damage to my hair. My hair is gray with a natural wave so with the temperature setting this is perfect.

I tried another chi model but was not happy with how I had to use it with the wider plates so sent back and went with this one. I don’t think it clamps my hair as well as my old one but it heats quick and leaves hair silky so Maybe it’s just my imagination. This was recommended to me by my sister in law she has long thick hair. I have shoulder length hair that is also thick and color treated and this flat iron is perfect. It heats up quickly, has a super long cord, and when combined with a heat protecting doesn't to any damage to my hair. I would recommend it to everyone it has changed my hair styling came and cut my style time in half. I have always gotten cheaper models but this is worth the money and I will never go back to cheap ones. I purchased the ruby red straightener and when I received it I loved the color it wasn't just a Blunt red it was more like a red chrome color. Heated up in less than 60 seconds! I was able to get my whole head straightened in half the time!
