I've installed tons of curtain rods over the years & none were as easy as these! Once I tried a pair, I bought several more for other windows. These rods with brackets are sturdy & smooth, plus with the curtain wrapping around the bracket they are ideal for black out curtains like ours (which are heavy, by the way). For anyone concerned about the rods pulling out from the wall, that doesn't happen bc the rod is weak but can happen any time screw into drywall & something heavy is pulling on that connection. We made sure to screw into studs and there is no issue. If you don't have studs at your preferred location, consider a long decorative piece of wood that can be screwed into wherever the studs are located, then the curtain rod can be attached to that wood. (It doesn't have to be decorative if it will be hidden. Also, if hanging rods close to the ceiling there should be wood all along the ceiling to attach the rod to)

The curtain rod in brushed nickel is nice looking, was easy to install, and does its job. To Amazon: the delivery was not quite what I asked for (I asked to have the package placed behind the side gate, as it is large and I didn't want to chance it get stolen if left on my front porch during the holidays). Instead the delivery person left it on my front porch steps, in full view of the street. Thankfully nothing happened and I got the package. But Amazon should know that its delivery service vendor is not reading the buyer's instructions nor documenting the delivery correctly. According to the Amazon records, the delivery was put inside the mailbox. NO, the package does not fit inside my mailbox.

Sadly this rod wouldn't work for my window situation and I had to return it. For the way a Roman shade is already on this window, I would have had to do too much rigging to install this rod to fit around it. I really did like the sturdiness and quality. Sad that it wasn't going to end up working for this window. Interesting design with how you put the rod in place. I think you'd be very happy with the purchase for other windows.. Just won't work for my window.

This rod is great. I didn’t really understand how it worked until I got my hands on it. Both the brackets and the rod are fully metallic and the rod screws into the brackets from both ends. This is done by turning the rod by hand. My installation was into plaster using the wall anchors provided. I broke one plastic wall anchor was I tapping it in, but fortunately I had extras. I opted to screw one bracket to the wall first and then assembled the rod and other bracket fully before loosely screwing the other end into place. I did this to ensure the rod was straight since it attaches to the brackets at both ends. You do see the top part of the brackets slightly when mounted at 84” using sheer curtains with a rod pocket, so I chose silver for use on a white wall.

Even though it's a thinner rod it does support heavier drapes. I like that it wraps around the wall which provides extra light blocking from both sides. I can safely recommend this product. Just make sure to secure it to the wall correctly. Also depending on your goal and situation you may want to mount it closer towards the ceiling to help prevent light on both sides towards the top.

This curtain rod does the job quite nicely but it does require that one is able to install them properly. In my instance it meant that one screw went into a wood frame behind the drywall and another had only drywall to hold it in place. That made the installation a bit more difficult, but it did end up working well and holding well. It doesn't quite stop all the light bleed on the side of the curtain, but that is also a function of where you install them. In the end it was a 90% improvement of the ones I was using before these and at a very reasonable cost.

I got these to go with my curtains and when I got them I was worried it wouldn’t be able to hold them with how heavy they were but it had no problem with them so I’m very happy with that. I also recommend doing what I did and putting it all the way to the ceiling and getting curtains long enough to cut down on the light that can go up and out the top
