This one is good just not for me. I bought it to be able to pick up my son from work without putting his bike inside my Explorer. The bolt that holds it on is threaded and for someone who can't hold a bike rack up and thread it at the same time due to arthritis it is extremely difficult. Also the cotter pin goes around the bolt not through it. I couldn't get it on and had to have someone come and help me. Once its on it does it's job, just hard to put on and take off. If it had a smooth bolt which would've made it easier I would've given it a 5 ... show more

    • Excellent bike rack at an excellent price
I have been impressed with this bike rack so far. I love the straps that hold the bike. That was one of the main reasons I bought this bike rack. The only one thing that I would like to see change is the length from the hitch can be a bit longer maybe 6 inches longer so that the bikes are more away from the car. Right now obviously there is enough gap but more space would help in extreme conditions especially during hard breaking. I will still give it a five star, considering the price of the bike rack and the quality it offers. ... show more

This bike rack is heavy and seems to be well built. Assemble took about 15 minutes once out of the box. One thing I noticed when locking the bike rack forks into place is that there is approx a 15 degree rise, it’s not straight across for losing bikes onto. I will give it a transport test over the weekend to see if the angle fork negatively impacts the function. ... show more

I purchased this because my wife and I are infrequent bike riders so we didn’t want to spend a lot on a bike rack. So far, the rack has provided great value for not a lot of money.

    • Good bike rack just not a great fit for our bikes
Only giving two star because it’s not very universal. Our bikes just couldn’t fit in it, my husbands bike frame is pretty wide and it just wouldn’t sit well on it. Out together pretty well and quick and attached to the car great. Just wasn’t the right one for our bikes
