I’m honestly very impressed with this projector. For the price, the picture quality is surprisingly clear and bright. I mainly use it to watch YouTube videos and movies, and the image looks sharp even on a large wall. Setting it up was super easy – it connected to my device quickly and started playing within minutes. The size is also a huge plus. It’s compact and lightweight, so I can move it from room to room or even use it for outdoor movie nights. The built-in speaker is decent, but you can also connect external speakers if you want a more cinematic sound. What I really like is how big the screen can get. Watching YouTube videos feels almost like having a small home theater. I’ve attached some photos and videos in my review so you can see the projection quality for yourself. Really impressed with this projector. The built-in smart system is super convenient . I can just open apps directly instead of hooking up a laptop or Fire Stick. Everything runs pretty smoothly. Picture quality is great too. Colors look really vibrant and the image is sharp, especially in a darker room. I tried taking a few photos of the screen with my phone but honestly it doesn’t look nearly as good in pictures , it looks way clearer and brighter in person. Also love the automatic screen adjustment. The auto focus and keystone correction work pretty fast and make setup really easy. Overall really happy with it so far. Great value for the price. 👍

Honest Review: Alvar V800P Pro* vs WiMiUS G1 *In this review, I will refer to the projector as Alvar V800P Pro. This is the improved version of the regular Alvar V800P (I cannot guarantee it 100 %, but judging by the noticeably higher brightness and stronger sound, it really is the upgraded model). However, both the box and the device name in the settings still show simply Alvar V800P. I have been using the Alvar V800P Pro for several weeks and performed a direct side-by-side comparison with my second projector — the WiMiUS G1. ✅ 🎨 Picture Quality: Overall image quality is very close between the two projectors — both are bright, sharp, and enjoyable to watch. However, when placed head-to-head, the picture from the Alvar V800P Pro simply looks more pleasant to the eye. Avatar 2 (water scenes) On the Alvar the water appears in the correct beautiful turquoise-blue color with visible light gradients and real depth. On the WiMiUS G1 everything gets smeared into one flat blue tint no matter how I adjusted the settings. The difference is clearly visible in the attached photos (one finger points to the Alvar V800P Pro image, two fingers point to the WiMiUS G1 image). Blade Runner 2049 (dark scenes) Alvar wins again — blacks are deeper and shadow details are much clearer. Avatar 3 trailer (dark scenes) The WiMiUS G1 might look a tiny bit better in some moments… but it’s a stretch. I would still choose the Alvar. One important practical difference: the WiMiUS G1 loses focus when the projector is placed at an angle. The Alvar holds focus far more stably. Verdict on picture: Both projectors are in the same league, but the Alvar V800P Pro is the one I actually enjoy watching movies on. ✅ 🔊 Sound Quality The advertised “improved 50 W sound” is not just marketing. The audio is genuinely loud, clear, with punchy bass and crisp dialogues. In the $200–500 projector range, this is one of the best built-in audio systems I have ever heard. That said, I still prefer my external 5.1 system. But if you don’t want to add extra speakers, the Alvar will make you very happy. ❌ 𝐎𝐒 Operating System: This is the only area where the Alvar really disappointed me. It runs a closed proprietary OS with the NetRange app store. There are quite a few apps available, but the system is heavily restricted — you cannot install APKs, change the launcher, or sideload anything. Because of these limitations I could not connect my ULTIMEA Poseidon D50 via Bluetooth (I think the OS simply does not see devices of this type). ⚠️ ⚙️ Hardware: I haven't noticed any problems with the assembly; it looks and feels very solid and reliable. There are controls on the body, which means that if you lose the remote, you can still operate the projector and access the settings to connect a new remote controller. The fan noise right next to the air vents is 61 dB, which is comparable to my other projector, and the volume near the pillow was 42 dB (the projector is about 1.5 feet directly above my head). I measured it with my Apple Watch. However, it is worth noting that despite the same measured volume, the sound from the WiMiUs was more monotonous, while the sound from the Alvar V800P Pro was more annoying. However, since I use this projector to watch movies with a good audio system, the fan noise is lost and can only be heard in quiet scenes, which is not particularly distracting. You can hear the noise of the fan in the video. ✅ 🛠️ Solution that fixed almost everything: I bought a cheap Google TV 4K streaming box for $20–30. A streaming box or TV stick will also enable 4K image output, which will significantly enhance image quality despite the standard 1080p resolution. Now I have full Google TV, perfect Bluetooth compatibility with any device, and all restrictions are gone. The problems disappeared instantly. If you are okay using an external streaming stick, the Alvar becomes almost perfect. ✅ 📝 Final Thoughts The Alvar V800P Pro is an excellent projector in the budget category. The picture is vibrant, bright enough for evening use, colors are accurate, and the built-in sound is surprisingly good. The only real weakness is the locked operating system — but it is easily fixed with a $20–30 Google TV box. ⭐ Rating: 8.5 / 10 (9.5/10 for picture and sound, minus 1 point for the locked OS) Highly recommended!

I had been using an older, basic projector in our living room for years. It worked for casual movie nights, but thepicture was never very sharp and the built-in sound was thin enough that we usually ended up using a separate speaker. Recently I decided it was time to try a newer projector, and honestly I wasn’t expecting a dramatic difference. Turns out I underestimated how much projector technology has improved. The first thing we watched was a halftime show, and the image quality immediately stood out. The picture looked noticeably sharper, with clean edges and much better detail—you could actually see facial expressions and the textures on the stage lighting. Colors looked richer and more natural, and the contrast made darker scenes feel deeper instead of gray and washed out. What surprised me even more was the sound. The Dolby audio filled the room with real depth and bass, making it feel much closer to a theater experience than I expected from a compact projector. Setup was also easier than I thought. The four-point keystone correction lets you adjust each corner of the image individually, so instead of constantly repositioning the projector, you just drag the corners until the picture perfectly fits your wall. It took maybe a minute. If you’ve been holding onto an older projector like I was, upgrading makes a bigger difference than you might think. Between the sharper image, stronger sound, and flexible setup, it feels like a real step up for home movie nights.

Less than 30 days of use has led to this product losing most of its color quality. After short terms of use all images become a mix of pink and yellow, it was good at first but it has become very bad after a short amount of use.

Just had a backyard movie night with this. Even rear projecting it onto a blow up screen, it was quite bright when the sun set. The picture is crisp and colors look good for the price. Autofocus is fast and precise, not needing to adjust the focus at all manually. The only problem I had is that it wouldn't find my speakers over Bluetooth, but I'm not taking a star away since it might have been the speaker's issue.
