Carry up to five bicycles on road trips or camping guards with the allen five- bike hitch mounted carrier. The hitch insert-which fits 2-inch receiver hitches-is easy to operate and super secure for your bikes. Just attach it to your hitch, then use the tie-down cradle system to individually secure and protect your bikes. The carry arms accommodates a wide range of frame sizes and designs, so you can carry your kid-size mountain bike or Adult road bike with equal confidence. Some bicycles without a standard top tube may require an adapter bar for installation. The rack tilts back for easy lift-gate access. Also equipped with a locking quick install hitch that keeps the rack from moving inside the hitch, the five-bike carrier is colored with a Black powder-coated finish. Never use on trailers.

This is a great economical bike rack. I was able to easily fit 4 bikes on the rack. If I really tried, I think I could figure out a way to get the 5th bike on, but I probably need to get a bike transfer tube so it would fit better.

I needed a rack that held 5 bikes for a trip. We don’t normally take this many bikes and use a tray rack so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. This rack checked all of the boxes. Easy to assemble. Easy to install. Easy to load. I carried one full size hybrid, two 24” mountain bikes, and two 20” kids bikes for about 200 miles of turnpike. Everything was secure and stable. I love the angle option so I didn’t have to uninstall the rack to access the trunk. I love that the pins are all corded to the rack so they can’t be lost. Overall, I'm happy with the rack, but I can't say I would feel too comfortable driving with the bikes on it for long distances. When you hit bumps, you can see the bikes in your rear view, bouncing around like an adult film star trying to fund her college education. I am considering using a ratchet to the left and right side of my roof to the rack (or bikes) to keep the bikes from moving around too much. Over time, I can't imagine this rack will take as much abuse as the aforementioned film stars. ... show more

Very easy to install, holds the bikes securely, easy to get the bikes off and on. The only thing I would change is make the rack a little longer so there’s a bit more space between the bikes. As our girls got bigger, we needed a bike rack that could handle five bikes as we could no longer fit the smallest one into the vehicle anymore. This rack was reasonably priced and handles three 27", one 26" and one 24" bike simultaneously with relative ease. The fact that one holder is behind the riser is what gives the rack room for five bikes, and the slight incline of the arms from the inside out provides enough variation of height that the handlebars and pedals fit with the bikes all facing the same direction. This is true even though we have a variety of bike styles, including both "boys" and "girls" bikes. The locking feature is great, though it takes a little figuring out at first as to how to make it work. The other nice thing was the price. So happy to find a 5 bike rack. It is very easy to install and take off. I love the pins that help move the rack to get into the trunk and to fold when no bikes are on. I wish there were some padding on the bar because the bikes hit the bar. We had to put a rag on the bike to help it from scratching. I have not tried to put 5 bikes on yet. We do bungee the bikes together to help from movement and scratching. ... show more
