This is my third ring camera. I have the spotlight and the standard outdoor cam as well as this doorbell. They work together incredibly. Very compatible. I’m very impressed with what you can see from this doorbell. Super simple set up! It’s the only one without motion lights and I do wish it had that but I understand it’s a doorbell. lol. Notifications are customizable. Connectivity is tough depending on where your router is, but they do make the extender and it’s very well worth the money. It was confusing to mount because of the curved plate, but my husband got it no issue. Great purchase

One thing I always fear when upgrading is drilling new holes. My Ring Doorbell (2020) was starting to show it's age and I wanted a camera with a wider head to toe angle and this didn't disappoint. Shown on my pictures is the corner kit I used for the Original Ring Doorbell (720p). The 3 corner pieces interlock and I just use a long screw to hold it together on the top and bottom. The 2020 doorbell didn't exactly fit the original corner kit because it has a bracket that you attach the doorbell to, then secure it with two screws on the bottom. The power is still connected to the Ring Doorbell itself. It did leave very small gap on the top but the doorbell area is sheltered from the elements. Fast forward to 2025. I was able to remove the old doorbell and old bracket. To attach the Ring Doorbell PRO, I had to remove one of the corner pieces and use the corner kit that came with the doorbell. The power is still attached to the back of the doorbell. The black corner kit is smooth and doesn't lock with the old pieces of the corner kit. It does stay flushed against it. While someone is holding the 3 pieces together, you use the long screw on the top and bottom to secure all 3 pieces. Make sure everything is even. Once that is done, you can connect the power to the back of the Doorbell PRO. Then use the 4 short screws to attach the Ring Doorbell to the black corner piece that came with the doorbell. Pop in the battery and you are ready to set up in the APP. After the doorbell is added, you can put the cover on and use the short security screw to keep the battery door shut. It was easy to set up in the APP and it instantly recognized my indoor chime without me going through set up menus. I was back in business and so happy I upgraded. The motion detection is nice and you need to set the notifications in the MOTION settings. The default is people only. The doorbell itself uses Smart Technology to eliminate all the false alerts. The setting I used was people, send a notification. Vehicles, record but don't send notification. Other motion, record but don't send notification. The Doorbell PRO is well worth the upgrade! The video is clearer and the pre-roll feature is very nice.

Review for Ring Battery Doorbell Pro I absolutely love the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro! I purchased this one to replace my previous Ring doorbell, which unfortunately got lost during a move, and I’m so glad I did. The newer version with the Bird’s Eye View feature is incredible—it gives me such a detailed perspective and adds even more security to my home. It was super easy to install, and I really like that this model is easier to charge if you can’t wire it to your home. The improved battery life is another big plus compared to the previous model, although it does take several hours to fully charge. That said, once charged, it lasts a good amount of time. The motion detection is always up-to-date and reliable, and it connects seamlessly to my WiFi. It’s a fantastic addition to my home and makes me feel more secure. I’m such a fan of Ring products that I also purchased indoor cameras for the house, and they’ve been just as impressive. If you’re considering this doorbell, I highly recommend it—it’s worth every penny!

This Ring Battery Doorbell Pro has exceeded all my expectations. The standout features for me are the package detection and how it seamlessly calls my phone. It's a game-changer. The package notification is incredibly accurate. I've set up a specific zone, and every time a delivery driver places a box within that area, I get an immediate alert on my phone. The 1536p HD+ Head-to-Toe Video is fantastic for this, as it gives you a full view of the front door area, so you can see exactly where the package is placed. No more wondering if the package was left behind a planter or if it was ever delivered at all. And the best part? When someone rings the doorbell, my phone rings just like a regular phone call. This was the second ring doorbell we’ve purchased. I bought it because the batteries come in a battery pack, making it much easier to charge. My house has no wires. I bought a second battery pack so that when the battery needs charging I can just pop another battery in and have no down time waking for the battery to charge. The camera on this model is better than our previous one, giving us more clear and vivid pictures. It also gives us a wider view. My only complaint is that it was difficult to install because it doesn’t have a separate mounting plate like our previous model. The mounting holes where you need to mark for the screws are so tiny and deep that there is no pencil, fine pen or marker that will fit through them to make your mark. We finely used a smaller drill bit through the hole to make a mark. It was also awkward to hold into place because it is bottom heavy. It took two of us. I would suggest to bring that they make a separate mounting plate for this module or at least provide a paper template to use as a guide to drill the holes.
