  • Best fryer ever, clean up is so easy!
My son is absolutely addicted to french fries, and since he's a picky eater and that's just about all he'll reliably eat I end up cooking them a few times a week at least. This fryer does a pretty great job on them and can cook two servings of fries in its basket, although more than that would probably be overcrowding and they wouldn't cook as well. It heats up reasonably quickly (far more quickly than a dutch oven on a stove top) and even when I add very cold fries it still either maintains its temperature or very quickly returns to temperature. However, by FAR the best feature of this fryer is how easy it is to clean up. You just turn the lever to "automatic oil filtration" and then walk away, and the oil is filtered and stored for you. The filtration is pretty good; I'll easily get a couple of weeks worth of regular frying out of a single batch of oil although it depends on what I fry, since some things get the oil a lot dirtier than others. Once it's drained, literally everything except the heating element can get wiped down and put in the dishwasher. This fryer could not possibly be any easier to clean up. There are only a few negative things about this fryer, none of which are really a big deal. The biggest complaint I have is that the timer isn't great. It works fine, but as far as I can tell you can't cancel it or change it once it's set, so if you're using it then hopefully you set the correct time the first time or you'll have to wait for it to go off before you can change it (if there's a way to do that then I haven't found it yet). Also, the magnetic plug does tend to fall out rather easily if it's jostled at all but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. As I mentioned, I wish that the overall temperature range was greater as it tops out at around 385 degrees, but that's still plenty hot for most things. The last negative is that the vent on the top cover is towards the back of the unit, so any condensation as it's cooking will come out closer to the walls. This means that if it's even slightly under any cabinets, then those cabinets are going to get saturated with steam so you really need to use this somewhere with nothing overhead. One thing to watch out for also is that the oil storage container's top comes off easily, so if you aren't careful when you're pouring it you could end up with the top falling off and spilling oil everywhere. Just hold it together with your hand as you're pouring and it'll be fine. ... show more

  • Impressive All-Clad Fryer: A Sturdy Upgrade from T-Fal
This All-Clad fryer is a game-changer in the kitchen, boasting exceptional craftsmanship and reaching a reliable 350 degrees effortlessly. Having previously owned a T-Fal Ultimate EZ-Clean fryer, I was struck by the stark contrast between the two. While they may look similar, the All-Clad exudes durability, with robust walls and secure handles that instill confidence, especially when transporting it filled with oil. In comparison, the T-Fal felt flimsy, with a thinner metal build and a struggling heating unit that could barely hit 290 degrees, leading to slow preheating and reheating times.Upon unboxing the All-Clad, I was immediately impressed by its superior build quality, a significant upgrade from the T-Fal. The stainless steel cooking bowl is top-notch, although the fry basket, made of chromed metal, requires delicate hand washing to prevent rusting – a lesson learned the hard way with the T-Fal basket. Cleaning the All-Clad is a breeze, although the bright chrome finish may retain oil smudges, easily remedied with a vinegar wipe-down for a shiny look. One standout feature is the All-Clad's heating element, a true superstar that effortlessly reaches 350 degrees and reheats rapidly during cooking sessions. In contrast, the T-Fal struggled to maintain high temperatures. While the plastic oil box is similar, the T-Fal box doesn't fit the All-Clad. Overall, the All-Clad fryer is a sturdy and efficient upgrade that has transformed my cooking experience for the better. ... show more

  • Great
This is the only electric deep fryer I've tried. I like the simple controls of turning the fryer on/off and setting the temperature and not having to fuss with any presets or sequence of button presses. I fried catfish twice and it turned out great. Oil heated up in about 5 minutes. I like that it has a clip area to hold the basket up over the oil when done cooking. The oil drain and filter function worked great. Once turning on oil draining, it's supposed to wait until the temperature of the oil is low enough before it drains. I don't plan on testing that since I prefer to be careful and just wait for the oil to cool before turning on the oil draining. To pour the drained oil back into the frying container, I put a rubber band over the lid as an added security measure to prevent sudden spillage. The lid is not meant to stay securely locked in place when pouring the oil, you have to hold it in place. When filling oil up the max line, the actual depth of oil available to fry with using the basket is only about 1 1/4 inches which seems pretty shallow to me. The frying depth works fine for my needs but it does seem limiting. The metal of the outer housing has some flex to it which feels kind of cheap. I expected the metal to feel more thick and rigid considering this an all clad branded product, even if this is made in China. I plan on handwashing everything instead of using a dishwasher to help ensure the product's longevity. Overall, I'm really happy with the product. Recommended. EDIT 01/2025: I just noticed the basket has its own max fill line that is separate from the max fill line on the frying container. The max fill line on the basket sits higher than the one in the frying container. Seems like there are separate max fill limits depending on whether or not you're using the basket. Product still works great. EDIT 05/2026: I tried filling oil to the max fill line on the basket instead of the max fill line on the container for the first time. When the oil drained, it overfilled the container for the filtered oil and spilled quite a bit onto my countertop. If you want to use the drain function, seems that you can only fill oil to the max fill line on the container. Deep fryer still works great. ... show more

  • Good fryer, but….
This fryer works as many have reviewed it. The oil filtration and storage function is the biggest reason I purchased this, and it works well. Just wait for the oil to cool, switch the knob to filtration, and an hour later you have filtered oil in a neat storage container. The problem is pouring the oil back in the oil reservoir for your next fry. There is a screw off plug which you take out and then pour the oil back in. Unfortunately, the oil container has a large top that attaches to the container much like a Tupperware top. It comes off if you don’t hold it tight with your fingers as you lift the container to pour. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences with spilled oil as a result. It works, but is not a perfect design. Be careful! The only other caveat is the LCD number display. It is impossible to see in anything but perfect lighting conditions. It does beep when over, but still, it’s annoying for the price point. Bottom line is this is a good fryer, but flawed. Still recommend though. It’s easy to take apart and clean, and fry’s nicely. ... show more

  • Good! Good!
I chose this fryer over other brands mainly because the design and overall build quality look better and more refined. The style is clean, modern, and slightly fancy, and the fully stainless steel interior and basket give it a more premium feel compared to many similar fryers. The fryer also comes with an oil drain / oil filtering feature, but I personally did not use it. I had read some reviews mentioning possible oil leakage, so I chose not to use that function. Filtering the oil manually works just fine for me. I think if the manufacturer removes this feature in the future, it could help reduce cost and make the product more affordable — a win-win. Regarding temperature, the maximum setting is labeled as 385°F, but when measured with an external thermometer, the oil temperature reached around 365°F in actual use. That said, as shown in the photo, it still fries very well — my fried dough came out crispy and evenly cooked. After some consideration, I decided to keep the fryer because it meets my frying needs, and I genuinely like the design and perceived quality. I also purchased it during Black Friday, so the price was a great deal. Overall, a solid fryer with a nice balance of design, quality, and functionality for home use. ... show more

  • Dead on Arrival
Received the unit, set it up, plugged it in, set the temp, and nothing, no lights, no heating, nothing. Made sure outlet was live, reset button was not activated, nothing. Great Quality Control All-Clad. Won't even begin to go into the amount of food prep that was done getting ready to use my new fryer. Gave one star because review page wouldn't let me give 0. The unit does look nice, I'll give it that. ... show more

  • Great Deep Fryer Only one big problem
Pros: -Clean up and filtering the oil after frying could not be easier. Temperature setting is not limited to 350 degrees allowing you to set the temperature higher so when cold or frozen food enters the oil, the oil temperature does not drop below 350 degrees. This feature keeps food from becoming saturated with oil. - Basket can hang out of the oil and the lid still fits on the machine. - Popping and splashing oil is typical when deep frying but with this machine the lid makes the oil popping and splashing a thing of the past. - The size of the basket is great it will fit more tater tots than me and my wife can eat, so it can cook enough for 4 people with ease. Cons: - When you are pouring oil back into the fryer the seal on the container can not hold the weight of the oil pushing on the lid causing the lid to pop off and spilling oil everywhere. This is such a a problem that I would have rated this fryer with 5 stars but took 2 stars because of oil storage container lid not stay secure when pouring the oil out of the pour spout. - The built in timer does not have a way to reset to zero. So if you add an extra minute the timer is worthless. The only way it goes to back to zero is if the timer counts down or you push the button 100 times bacause the timer has a limit of 99 minutes, so when you push it 100 times the timer will start over. It takes forever to push the button 100 times. ... show more

  • Great product.
This is awesome. Don't believe the reviews on leaking. Just read the instructions and pay attention to what you are doing. Making sure everything is in the proper place. Easy to use and as easy as a fryer can be to clean. Heat's up nice and seems solid and durable. Just the right size and cooks fast. Nice flavor of food. The only thing is the cord is annoyingly short. I get the reason why they do it but it can get irritating. Great product still. ... show more
