While I love the weight and look of this kettle the handle is cheap and sharp. For $200 dollars you would think that they could put a better handle on it. Overall it is a nice kettle and not made in China which is a plus. The jury is still out as to whether we keep it or send it back. I bought this for my Wife for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Since we are replacing our stove with an induction model, it needed to be induction and this kettle is beautiful, and something my wife has wanted for many years. When our anniversary came, she unwrapped it and immediately wanted to hear the whistles. Unfortunately, the unit shipped without these installed so there was no sound. That's where Sueno of Kitchenking's customer support came to the rescue. He quickly figured out what had happened, and got the replacement part expedited to us. We didn't have to return the kettle and my wife is very happy. Thank you Sueno. You saved the day. ... show more

    • Does not work as advertised
There are TWO pitch pipes built into the two cromed nozzles on the steam output of this tea kettle. These are the part of the spout that lifts where steam escapes. On my very conventional stove at full boil never would they both make sound! I could cover one and make the other work, and then change to cover the other, but at a full boil, the do not work. Kettle comes with two replacement pitch pipes, one for each pitch, so I replaced them both in case seating in the nozzles or tubes were an issue, no change. When removed and blown into both worked. They do not work in the kettle. I really wanted to "upgrade" my kitchen a bit with this nice concept of audio technology, and am quite unhappy. Bottom line: Does not work, do not buy. The quality could not be better. A great looking kettle with a whistle. I have burnt so many kettles that looked good but did not whistle. This one is a keeper!

    • Not worth the money or hype
Gave as a gift to our daughter for Christmas. The lower part of the handle is comprised of plastic and has melted. Plastic on a kettle handle near the bottom? Why in the world would it be made that way? Definitely not worth the money. I want my money back. Please advise.
