I was surprised at how small this mini doorbell turned out to be. The box it comes in is about half the size of an outlet cover. The doorbell button is rectangular. When you press on it a blue light appears and that is a feature I like. There is a good selection of sounds to choose from. One was a Christmas song, which will get used much later in the year. Another one was the full "Take me out to the Ball Park". Turns out my sister knows the words to the entire song. There are the expected the ding-dongs, space sounds, and musical scales. It was super easy to select one, set the volume, and put the doorbell into use. Would be nice for my household if the volume could change on a schedule: louder during our busy hours and quiet at night. My sister decided visitors could knock or look near their feet for the doorbell because she got tired of going to the door to see if the dog was ready to come in: the doorbell button is now on the ground and the dog steps on it when he wants in. I expect the cat is going to be taught to do the same thing.

This has been a great, great addition to our classroom safety. Parents and visitors now have to ring and wait for a staffer to allow them into our exterior classroom doors. These doors are hallow metal doors, and still, we have no problem with the Bluetooth signals! Love it.

The media could not be loaded. All the parts come compactly packaged in a small box. Everything needed is included. There is a transmitter with a large button, which can be mounted with screws or with a double-sided sticky pad. If it is to be attached with screws, drywall/masonry anchors are provided. Does it work? YES! Very well. The volume control steps from 0dB (muted, but there is a blue LED that lights up) to 120dB, in steps of about 24 dB. There are thirty-two doorbell chimes, but to select one, you have to cycle through all of them. It would be nice if there was a list, and some way to make a selection. The chosen chime remains as the selection if power goes off, or the receiver is moved (unplugged and re-plugged) to a different location. The chimes sound pretty good, unlike other devices I've heard. Obviously not audiophile quality, but much better than the more common 8-bit Schroeder-Piano level. Y'know what would be nice? If it were possible to copy a ringtone of your own into the works, so it plays something very distinctive instead of the standard 'ding-dong'. It is powered by a single 3v CR2032 coin-type battery. This battery is easily found in stores and is simple to replace in the device. Opening the transmitter case is easy, using a small-bladed screwdriver. See video. The instructions are thorough and comprehensive. The transmitter and receiver are paired at the factory so it comes ready to install and works out of the box. Just in case, however, the instructions give directions and illustrations on how to re-pair the devices, or add additional accessories such as window or door opening sensors, motion detectors, etc. Up to twenty accessories can be added. Finally, there is a support help email address, in case things go hopelessly awry. I would give this item five stars because it's very well made and the sound is excellent, but the necessity of cycling through all those chimes forces me to give only four.

My wired doorbell is broken. That's why I ordered this one. It works GREAT. It was EASY to install using the adhesive patch provided. And I put the plug in device on the opposite side of my home interior and it chimes nice and loud when the doorbell is pressed outside. I like the doorbell chime that it comes with, and the volume, but you can lower the volume and change the chime to suit yourself. Great product that works exactly as promised. Super value at the advertised price. The only improvement I would suggest is that u add a dot of some sort, or text, to the top of the doorbell to indicate where it should be pressed, and also to better identify it as a doorbell. It is not made like a traditional doorbell, which clearly has a button u press in the center. This bell is all black with no button, but rather a switch that has to be pressed at the top. I think it would be easy for visitors to your home not to recognize it as a doorbell, and/or perhaps not understand where it needs to be pressed. They could press the bottom of the switch, instead of the top, in which case it would not work. So, to avoid that confusion, and to make it more obvious, I painted a round dot with white nail polish at the top of the switch to indicate where to press it, and then I used a white paint pen to write the word 'bell' with an arrow pointed toward the top white circle i added.

For under 20 bucks you can have a doorbell Simply plug in the chime box ringer and mount the button and you are all set. I can't comment on the many ring tones as I just need to know when I have a visitor. The flashing light is a bonus. It lets me know when some one is at the door if I am listening to music or blaring the TV at a high volume. A great inexpensive product with many extra features.

Super easy to install and I never miss anyone at the door anymore. We stay in our sunroom a good bit or my bedroom so I was missing the door at times so this has been such a huge help to us. Highly recommend it to anyone who has a big house like we do & don’t always hear the door.
