Description

Caring for a small animal is an amazing experience that encourages empathy, care and responsibility. You're babies will love the ample access that our coop gives, while also protecting your small animals and giving them a sense of security when they are put away. Two of us put this together in less than 30 minutes. All the holes are pre-drilled. They are also pegged in the most important parts. There are written instructions and pictures. The max chickens for this would be 4. Preferably 3 grown hens. I am buying a second to put inside my greenhouse for winter. I am using little giant hanging water feeders for the inside so they don't take up too much of space. This is a great bargain, easy to use, and beautiful. It was fairly easy to set up & my chickens love it! It is so cute & super functional. It is also easy to move around the yard with the handle and wheels. I’m considering a second of the same exact model to give them more space. Great product! This coop was exactly what I expected; easy to assemble and cute. I just ordered on other one and I will be connecting both of them together. Overall this is a nice coop! Update: I ordered another coop and connected both together. I love the look! Right now I have two chickens and I’m planning to get two more. Really happy with the purchase. My girl loves his chicken coop, she couldn’t wait to put his chicks in it. Very pleased with it. I use for younger birds until ready to mix with flock. great access. • Good value for teh price
Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
This came quickly and well packaged. Directions were adequate but a couple areas it was a bit of a brain twist to make sure the part was going on the right way or in the right place. All the parts were well marked and all the screw holes lined up with the predrilled locations which was a plus. The construction material is soft wood, old style roofing and they give you plenty of hardware. The hinges are pretty flimsy and I may upgrade those down the road. but for intents and purposes, this fits the bill well. I did add wood glue to all the components that were screwed together to add additional structure support. The coop looks good completed, I just am not a fan of the soft wood for projects like this. I had to drill an access hole to run a heat plate cord through and my bit did a nasty chew up job on the wood...but it is what it is. But, we are very happy with this coop. we intend to use it only as a chick pen until they are old enough to be housed with the older hens. We will also use this as a quarantine pen should any of the hens need to be separated. This is sturdy enough to withstand short moves around the yard and the wheels are handy, but not very good on gravel. ... show more

  • Shouldn't be permanent
Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
I like it's small size since I can get my younger hens in with the flock while they're still protected so the big girls can get used to their presence while keeping my 10 week olds from getting bullied. There's plenty of room, by industry standards and it's totally fine for young hens. The major drawback is the height of the roost in the actual coop area. I have a 12 hen coup for my 5 girls by the same company... Same color and everything BUT, the roost bars for sleeping are so low in this house that whatever litter you use will pretty much be level with the roost bars. Totally not cool. Now, while the opaque plastic over the take part is neat, my young girls keep leaping up at it and are bonking their heads so hard against it that I can hear it from the patio. I'm not sure if they're trying to catch the shadow of the tree, catching bugs on the other side or just trying to break through it. Anyway, it took me maybe 30 minutes to assemble for all you ladies out there and that was done inside of my chicken run with the girls trying to run off with bits or just being busy bodies that wanted to jump on everything. After doing the 12 hen coop that didn't come with a run, this was cake. I didn't believe I had to lay or get into any awkward positions to put it together. It seems waterproof so far. We just had 3 days of steady rains but this chicken coop/run combo was under the tarp of my run and there were no winds like we usually get from the leftovers of hurricanes (like last week) and tornado season hasn't started with severe storms that have horizontal rain. My 12 hen coop by this brand has stood up to those conditions though and has held up without leaks and I never caulked the screws on it like I usually do so that's saying something. I do wish there was a sliding window with rabbit wire (hardware cloth) for warmer nights so they can get a breeze. After a week of trying to integrate my girls, I've finally opted to put 4 of my grown hens into this while my three younger ones that have been unable to integrate are with a couple more docile hens for a bit. Then I'll let the more aggressive ones out... Like one every couple of days. I mention this only to say that the coop itself has more than enough room for 4 fully grown dual purpose hens and will keep them warm in winter. The castors could be a LOT bigger. If you're rolling across a paved area then no problem but get into grass or uneven terrain, it's another story! The door could be quite a bit bigger for my big birds to squeeze through but they manage it. I say this is great to start with when it comes to young hens but when they get older, they'll need a lot more room to be happy hens. It's great for segregating a naughty bird, isolation for medical reasons or a quarantine area and for younger birds but I wouldn't recommend it for a permanent habitat. Yes, great value for the money, it's totally light weight, easy to assemble, latches align if you keep it level, serves it's function, The wood IS thick enough but not dense enough... It IS wood but more like the wood that kids break in karate... Not quite cork but you get the idea! ... show more

  • Pretty good quality, good for a couple small chickens.
Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
Honestly, it's a really nice small coop for the money. Okay materials, very clear instructions, and it feels relatively solid. This is the second small assemble-it-yourself coop I've purchased and this was a big improvement in design and materials. Obviously it isn't a premium homemade woodcraft but it's engineered and packaged well enough to arrive in good condition and be simple to build. The coop will get the job done. With light modifications, I was able to build it with coop access on the other side to suit my existing setup to attach more sleeping area to an existing run. ... show more

  • not for more than 3 hens
Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
It's too small to house anything 24/7 but good to lock a few bird in at night to keep from being attacked by fox

  • Great.
Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
Easy to put together. Had 4 chickens in there at one time until they got too tall. They still use it but just to sleep in, cuddled up and warm. Easy to maneuver.

  • I will not buy from this company again.
Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
I was extremely happy and excited for my coop to come in. It came a day earlier than expected It is not a large co-op. It is more like a medium, small, more leaning towards small. It is made of very, very cheap. Wood when receiving my co-op. I have already noticed that my pieces were broken. Pieces of wood chipped off. Some of the packaging stayed stuck to my co-op and will not come off. One of my pieces came broken so I could not put the co-op completely together. How it was supposed to be made.... .. ... show more

Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
I needed a quick grow out pen for 6 chicks. The roofing is a very flimsy plastic. Not well made. I in no way think this is a predator proof product. It is also extremely small. I, maybe 2 chickens max

  • Best design so far!
Pattern Name: Chicken Coop with Wheels
This is the best design that I have ever bought. I have a total of 4 different designs from Aivituvin. The rollers in the back are nice and work. The roost bar is in the middle. The nesting box is large. There is a large door and a sliding window for air. BUY!!!
