Bought the hutch for our beardies to be outside without the risk of our cats getting them! They also cannot escape into the backyard. We live in the desert southwest so in the lizards can go out during the day and enjoy the warmth (but not the heat). In the hutch we have a lizard bed and temp/humidy gauge. The ramp we replaced with thick corregated cardboard so no risk of the asphalt in the beardies’ bellies. We added a log and large hide in the bottom. The lizards enjoy their time outside. It would be possible to use this indoors as well and cost a heck of a lot less than a tank! ... show more

Bought this coop for baby chicks to be introduced to our flock. Its easy to put together, has many doors and a plastic lined tray that pulls out. It would be great for baby chicks or one chicken. Great for rabbits. I definitely recommend

This is a great cage and the easiest thing to assemble but when my bunny pees not in her litter, the wood soaks up and I'm afraid it will grow mold. Also, when we first got it, it had a very strong smell. My bunny also eats the wood.

This arrived quickly and we were able to set it right up and have the bunny move in. There is an upstairs "room" that is protected from the rain which was very helpful on bunny's first night out. The room however, is not that big when trying to decide what goes in there. I put in some hay, and food bowls and water bowls and there's not enough room for a litter box so that needed to go in the downstairs "yard". The "yard" area is open to the ground so the bunny can eat the grass but I find it is bare quickly and need to move the bunny house daily. Unfortunately, there is no mesh on the bottom so make sure the bunny is upstairs when you move it and the litter will need to be picked up and moved also. I think it would be better if there was a screen on the bottom so it's all enclosed. Lastly, I had to put a water BOWL upstairs because there is no where up there to hang a water bottle since the walls are solid. So I just add a hanging water bottle in the downstairs area as well. Our previous cage was on wheels and one broke off. We went to pet store and they didn’t have anymore super large cages. We have 2 Holland lops. I felt bad for them so found this on Amazon thought it was cool…. Now we can let them go outside. Ordered it, and kept bugging my husband to put it together and finally got tired of waiting and thought … I’m going to do this myself. I did have an electric screw gun and it was soooo easy. I was proud of myself. It’s really big and cute and going to order another one so I can connect them. The only negative and it’s not the product it’s my dumb fault. I didn’t realize there was no floor on the bottom. Duh! It’s so they can be on the grass. I don’t know why I was thinking we could use this indoors too. I’m a chicken to leave my bunnies out all night because I’m afraid a coyote will get them. So we just use it for like….recess. When we are home and can check on them. I have it in my vegetable garden area so they can play while I’m gardening. Plus we are in Texas and it gets way to hot for pets to be outside for the summer. So I highly recommend just note that it’s for outside only unless you are crafty and come up with a bottom for indoors. ... show more

    • An indoor hutch for a happy bun

I have purchased two of these hutches (1 set) for my two rabbits. The hutch itself is not enough room for a rabbit to live in, but connected to two X-pens has given proper running space! Rabbits NEED space to RUN and jump, the hutch is their home-base and their safe spot when they want to get away. We keep the litter box and hay down below, and the bun water under the ramp. Assembly was easy, so easy my 12 year old took on the task with minimal adult intervention. We set it up on vinyl sheet flooring so clean up is easy. Pee will get trapped so make sure you clean the edges and keep the wood frame dry. There is an paint smell, but we knew that before buying and aired the pieces of the hutch out before putting it together. The rabbits live inside with us, so I have never tested it outside. From what I have experienced indoors with water/pee spills I don't think it could stand up to unpleasant weather conditions. While I liked the idea of the pullout tray it isn't very sturdy and made the floor to the upstairs unstable. We ended up fixing it into place since the Buns didn't use it to go potty, just to play and run up into. Overall 8.5 out of 10, it's a good home-base with a lot of positive things going for it. It's built well,minus what I said above, and doesn't look cheap or shoddy. Remember, the hutch alone is NOT big enough for a rabbit to live a happily inside 24/7 with no additional space. You WILL need X-pens to insure your bun has enough space to thrive. ... show more

But it def is big enough for bunnies. I have two females that share this hutch. They have plenty of room and are so happy to be outside. It’s nice and very easy to set up.
