These work fantastic for both portable TCL ac units we have with 5.9" exhaust hoses. When you initially get them they stink like the rubber they are made from. We let it air out, outside for a day and then put them on and went nose blind to the smell within an hour. Don't smell it after a couple days use at all when coming home now. They insulate extremely well which was actually surprising for as thin as they are and the gray color makes them look really nice. They are definitely an exact fit so make sure you take a tape measure to the exaught hose so you order the correct size. Upon writing this I realized I never received the elastic bands that are supposed to come with this. Luckily the fit was so exact it's tight on its own it's not going anywhere anytime soon. Make sure you get them when they arrive.

This product has a super strong chemical smell. Tried airing it out for 2 days on the patio, but you could still smell it 6 feet away. Summer would be long over before this it outgassed to a satisfactory low level. Returned it.

I would have given this 5 stars as it was extremely easy to put on and the Velcro is very strong. However, you need to wash 1st because there is a strong chemical smell, almost like Turpentine. When you purchase this, wash with a "No Scent" detergent, [optional: add some Febreze Order Eliminator], then air dry. It helped a lot. Other than that, great product. Plan on getting another set soon.

Where I have to position my floor air conditioner for maximum distribution of cold air did force me to use a double length exhaust tube. In the afternoons, when the sun hits the area of the tubes, it was like the A/C was fighting the heat coming out of the long tubes. I installed two of these- one on each of the connecting tubes and what a big difference! If you just have a normal, one-tube exhaust flow, it will be even better!

The vent hose for my portable AC is like a glaring light in the morning. It also releases heat in the room when the AC is running. I bought this cover and it velcros easily around the vent hose and my room is now nice and dark for sleeping. I highly recommend if you have a portable AC
