I've been looking for one of these for awhile but am unfortunately a little underwhelmed. I think you ultimately have to pay quite a bit more an outdoor heater that performs like it promises.... When I tested in our garage it did alright, but the only space that was really heated was within 4 feet of the unit (after 10 minutes the temp went up 4 degrees with sensor 4 ft under and 2 ft away from unit, another sensor placed 4 ft under and 6 ft away only read 1 degree higher, even after 30 min). I hung it outside on a cooler night, but with a slight breeze I could barely feel a difference at all unless I was sitting right underneath it. That being said, if you are sitting underneath it is definitely feels warm. I also wish the cord was longer, it's only around 5 ft, and you aren't supposed to plug into a power strip (long extension cords only), so there's inevitably a lot of extra cordage unless you happen to have an outlet very close to wear you want to hang it. Overall, if you're looking to heat a small porch or shed or something (keep in mind that the heating unit is supposed to be at least 6' from the ground and 1' away from the ceiling) this would probably do the trick, but if you actually want to heat anything larger or open in the outdoors it would probably need to be a larger investment. ... show more
