This device is excellent at picking up debris and sand (from my filter) on the bottom of my pool daily. My pool is probably around 300-400sqft (8,000-10,000 gallons). I routinely charge it up overnight and then put it in the water in the morning. Then I come back from work and find the bottom of my pool nice and clean. It has a pretty good capacity, but if your pool has a ton of debris (like piles of leaves on the bottom) it won't be able to pick it all up (obviously it's limited by it's size). But, once you get everything under control and run this daily, you will never have debris build up in your pool again! I took off one star as I find the battery life of the device to be a bit short. I wish it would be able to last a full day instead of for a few hours before running out of juice. But, it's a minor complaint as it gets the job done! Oh, also, it looks really sleek so it isn't an eye-sore in my pool! :)

I misunderstood the description in my haste and didn't realize its not designed for a pool that isn't one depth. When it runs in the deep end it can't bring itself back to the shallow end like is says in the description. So I gave it 5 stars because it holds a charge for quite a while and while it runs in the deep end it cleans up dirt and sand off the bottom much better than I ever expected for a robot at this price point. It shocked me the first time I emptied it and there was a ton of sand inside the container. So it does a good job. If my pool wasn't different depths this guy would be ideal. So if your pool is the right type, I think this is a really good option. It does return home when I launch in the deep end.

I am hoping the simplicity of this cleaner means it will last a long time. The mechanism seems to be pretty simple. It has a single motor that sucks water through two inlets on the bottom and jets it out either the front or the back. It just changes directions seemingly randomly. After and hour it seems to have covered all the floor of my pool. The mail thing I want this to do is stir the water so settled dirt get sucked out through the main pool filter. It is great for that. The inlets are small so it has trouble sucking up leaves and acorns which is a bummer because I do get a lot of those in my pool. It does get some of them.

This is one really nice pool clearing robot that does a really good job. It moves at just the right speed to pick up dirt and grim as it moves along. It’s very simple to operate and get setup to use fast. It’s a wonderful value for the quality and work that comes with using it. The battery is also pretty good that last long enough to clean a good amount of medium to small size pools. I think it’s Avery good Value choice that performs great. It would make an extremely nice gift idea for someone who has a pool and could use one.

The media could not be loaded. This is best for an above-ground flat-bottom pool, but it still works in a sloped in-ground pool, just not as well as one intended for this purpose. I didn’t realize it was for a flat-bottomed pool when I ordered it, but when it arrived, I decided to give it a try anyway. If I keep an eye on it, it’ll clean the shallow end of my pool, with assistance from my net to redirect it when it starts getting too close to the slope in the floor. When I drop it into the deep end, it cleans that area really well, too. It tries to climb the slope into the shallow end, but it can’t make it all the way up. Of course, this is expected because it is designed for flat-bottom pools. All in all, I am really happy with this vacuum and have found that it is a fine supplement to my Hayward vacuum and shortens the cleaning time when both are in use.
