As a single female trying to manage a pool in Florida, I can honestly say this has been a game changer. Keeping up with a pool here is a lot of work, especially with the sun, leaves, and constant debris, but this skimmer has made things so much easier. It works continuously and does a great job keeping the surface clean throughout the day. I noticed a big difference in how much less time I have to spend skimming manually. Beta, SE solar powered automatic robot pool skimmer, reliability, 100% has been great we live in the south where the sun is abundance, I’ve only had to clean it wipe it down a few times, but it runs all day long every day, the power converts from the solar panel and it works great stays running 24 seven, covers the entire pool skims all the top stuff so if there’s leaves which we live without a screen enclosure, so that’s great when the wind blows leaves blow into the pool and this thing just eats them up. Battery life is great it’s sustainable, and the coverage is awesome. The covers every point of our pool. We have an inground 20‘ long x 16‘ wide. It’s very stable. It doesn’t require any kind of app etc. it does come with a remote control, but we have not had to use it yet because it literally just needs to be taken out and the basket needs to be clean once in a while when it gets a little full of leaves, we dump it clean it with a hose. We put it back in shut the glass turn it on drop it in the water easily and it goes. Honestly, it’s as easy as taking it out of the box, letting it charge for a da5 if you’re gonna do it by sun…..and/or you can use the charging cord that it comes with it, charge it for 5 to 6 hours, turn it on and off it goes. I absolutely love it, and I definitely recommend it, especially to anyone who has an open pool without a cage, wherever you are if you have any kind of trees with leaves and any kind of wind, simple and/or rain storms like we get in the south or strong winds this thing really saves you a ton of work and time, iTS stability yes it’s very stable! & suitability YES 🙌🏼 It’s a GREAT investment. We got ours on a sale, but still paid $285. I think the normal price is $318 regardless it’s worth every penny. We’ve owned ours for almost a year now. Our pool is a dark pool black gunite, it attracts the sun every day so it easily runs 24 seven I’ve taken a photo and like I said it’s cruising out in the pool right now, I definitely 💯 recommend Betta SE solar powered automatic robotic pool surface skimmer

Easy to use. Picks up everything on the surface. This surface skimmer was packaged very well. The instructions were very simple and really not even needed. It is a fairly intuitive machine. You can unpack it, turn it on, and set it in the pool. This would work for 99% of people. If you want to mess around with the remote control features or changing modes, feel free to read the manual. It is easy. At my house I get a lot of sun. My backyard is on the south side of the house, and I am in southern California. This thing charges while it is running all day and does not stop until around 4am. It starts up again about an hour after sunrise. I bought this hoping it would pick up the very small bits of pollen and leaves that float on the surface, and it does just that. It does an amazing job. The basket that collects the debris is a very fine mesh - durable and functional. It picks up everything. Easy to clean. It comes with extendable legs and even longer extensions if you need them. That is to prevent it from getting stuck on a false beach or very shallow area. Those legs would just block the skimmer from going to those areas by bumping into the sides of it. I do not use them; I have a shallow step on one side of the pool that has about three inches of water. This thing floats over it with no issues. I think it drafts around two inches. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. The pool looks so much cleaner without all those little specks of debris floating on the top. Well worth the money.

This was a little pricey for my budget, kind of like going to Venice and paying over $100 for a gondola ride. Just like the gondola ride, this is worth every. single. penny. Instead of looking at my newly tiled pool and sighing because there are countless tiny blooms from the neighbor's palm tree and my lovely Toyon bush, I can dive right in because the surface of the pool is wonderfully, sparkling clean. It has NEVER been so clean, thanks to this nifty little robot (I'm actually developing an emotional attachment to the dear thing, lol, though it has no name and never will!). This cleaner works 24/7 without complaint, is basically maintenance free, but for emptying the basket once in a while. It entertains my cats and the raccoons and politely maneuvers around the escape float for little critters who may fall in the pool. Read the instructions and heed the part that says to remove while swimming. Waves you make may cause debris to exit from the basket. I'm curious to see how it manages in the fall when the wind blows pine needles into the pool. For now, it's the best thing I could hope to have to keep my pool wonderfully clean.

I have robots that vacuum my floor, mop my floor, vacuum my pool, and mow my lawn. This is my reliable rockstar. I've had this running for three years straight, running non-stop, year-round in Florida with hot summers and mild winters. The unsung benefit of this is that I only have to clean my pool filter every four to six months versus every month - it scoops up everything before it has a chance of getting to it. This is huge for savings for your pool as a whole and takes away a hassle that I've never liked. Did I mention I have an open pool? Between this and the weather extremes, it's suitable for any pool. It is consistent and stable in dutifully doing all of the skimming work I never have to do again. One of the motors was acting up within the last days of my warranty: Betta paid for the shipping (both ways) for repair and sent me a new unit, with zero hassle and was expedient about it. When you have a product that does what it says, does it relentlessly for years in harsh environments, and you have customer service that is real, professional, and true to their word - Betta sets a bar for other companies that seem to forget about you once you buy.

Year 3. This thing is still doing its thing with NO maint, other than emptying. It keeps the pool surface WAY cleaner than the inset skimmers, and chlorine tabs are dissolving into pool even for the 12 hours the pool pump is off. Stuff never makes it to the bottom where it would require vacuuming. My pool is SO much clearer and cleaner, and requires WAY less vacuuming!, This thing has never failed, and the solar charged battery just never dies. Best investment/purchase I ever made for the pool.

I rent out my backyard and swimming pool on the Sniffspot.com app to guests with reactive dogs, so keeping my pool free of dog hair between visits is important. Because of my mobility issues and physical limitations, manually skimming the pool after every booking is just not possible, so I decided to try the Betta SE solar-powered robotic surface skimmer. My pool is on the smaller side (15' x 30'), and overall it does a great job collecting dog hair, leaves, bugs, and other floating debris. It has definitely made maintaining my pool much easier. I do have two complaints though. First, it frequently gets stuck under the pool ladder, around the handicap rail, and in front of the pool skimmer. Thankfully, it comes with a remote control, and since I have security cameras overlooking my pool, I can see when it's stuck and free it remotely without having to physically walk outside. My second complaint is the way it has to be removed from the pool. Because of the design, I have to lift it out with both hands but bc of my physical limitations, this is challenging. If I try to remove it with one hand, much of the debris in the basket falls right back into the pool, which is frustrating and counter productive. Overall, it performs well and has been a big help. I like that it's solar powered.

The Betta SE is hands down one of the best purchases I’ve made for my pool. I have an above-ground pool surrounded by trees, and before buying the Betta I was constantly skimming leaves, bugs, and other debris from the surface. Since getting the Betta SE, I rarely need to use my hand skimmer anymore. It runs every day and keeps the surface remarkably clean. What impresses me most is how much debris it collects that I would have otherwise never noticed. The basket fills up with leaves, pollen, bugs, and small debris before it has a chance to sink to the bottom. I’ve owned it long enough to know this isn’t just a novelty gadget—it has become a permanent part of my pool maintenance routine. Combined with my pool robot for the bottom, it has dramatically reduced the amount of manual cleaning I have to do. The unit is easy to empty, easy to maintain, and saves me time every single day. If you’re on the fence because of the price, I was too. Looking back now, I would buy it again without hesitation. Highly recommended.
