The Dolphin was delivered today (ahead of schedule), and after reading the Quick Start directions, I put it to work immediately. There's almost nothing to it. Connect the waterproof cord to the console, drop the unit into the water, plug the console cord into the wall socket, press the power button. We have a rectangular fiberglass pool with salt water. It has a large sitting platform which is about 2 feet deep. The platform then drops off into the deeper (lap swimming) end of the pool. The pool is 6 feet at the deepest end. I dropped the Dolphin into the deep end then hit the start button. This unit is advertised. It was definitely vacuuming up the debris. It picks up the pebbles, and it actually crawls up the pool wall to the point where at least a third of it breaches the surface, then drops back in. However, I have seen it crawl up the 4 foot wall of the platform, at which time it cleans the platform (briefly), until it blindly rolls off the platform edge, descending into the deeper water. After two hours, the bottom was probably 98% clean. There were a couple of 90 degree corners that it just couldn't quite pick up, so I'm currently running it for another hour. Perhaps I will stir up those two corners next time to give it an assist. Lastly, our pool has two steps to the deeper water. The unit appears unable to crawl up the stairs. Five starts because it is convenient, simple, and effective. Update: In order to get the last 2-3% of dirt left over in the corners and at the base of the walls, we first brush the debris toward the middle of the pool floor. Then, we run this unit for an hour and the pool looks great! ~ We use this unit about once per week and always after the lawn is mowed. ~ I set it on a small 2x4 block to keep pressure off of the brush up front. I also sometimes set it on it's side when it's not in use. Nothing to warp when it's on its side. ~ We gently spray out the debris bucket with the garden hose. The filters on the side seem delicate/fine (which I'm guessing is why the fine dirt doesn't appear to pass through the system). ~ In order to retrieve it you use the power cord to pull it in. It's very light when it's in the water, but when it gets within reach, grab the unit itself. This prevents undue stress on the power cord when it's full of water. Bottom line: This thing doesn't care how blazing hot or ice cold it is outside or how long its work shift is, it gets the job done so you don't have to. Update (1 year later): The Dolphin still does its thing. When not in use we keep the unit in a pool locker in the back yard, except for the console. We keep the console inside the house to keep the electronics better protected. Prior to using the Dolphin, we brush the base of the walls. This makes it easier for the Dolphin to get this more easily. Sometimes I push the button for a second cycle, but it usually does a fantastic job with a single cycle. I've left it in our salt water pool for a couple of nights in a row before. It doesn't seem to mind and it doesn't let go of the debris during that time. I use it year round, usually at least once per week in the warm months, perhaps a little less in the winter. 1 year later, it still does the job very well. I'd never go back to doing this myself. The pool needs enough attention as it is (water testing, water level, filter cleanings, etc.). I do wish that it had a remote control option, something that I could hold so that I could direct it to "mow" the platform clean before plunging back into the deep water. Great purchase! I'd give it 5 stars again. Update (Beginning of 3rd year of use) Nothing has changed from above. I still store the dolphin (upright of the tracks) in the locker outside year round, the console is still stored inside the house. Prior to use I still sweep the base of the walls. This makes it easier for the unit to get the dirt and debris. The pool is clean in about 90 minutes, though I usually run it longer for an extra clean pool. I guess it takes about 10 minutes or so to sweep then set up, but it would take the same time to set up the manual system too. Same with break down, 10 mins or so either way. But of course with the Dolphin I'm off doing something else while it's doing its thing. No parts have deteriorated since it was brand new even in a salt water pool. It's as good as new still. I see newer Dolphin units with a built in swivel in the cord. After many hours in my pool the cord does develop the beginning of a kink (twist) in the cord but the cord is so long that this has never come close to hindering its effectiveness. After use, I lay out the cord along the lawn then roll it back up losing the minor twist for next use. I also see units with optional remote controls. For the large platform in my pool I simply manually (mow) it clean, that is I run it one length, turn it off, set it into position for the next run Turn it on, etc. Yes, I'm in ankle deep water with it as it's running but the platform gets clean in short order. I think a remote control for this short work would take longer. I need it to make several U-turns on the platform, slightly overlapping the previous run. I think using a remote would take much longer. Aside from that we're rarely in the water with the unit. Excellent pool accessory! Simple and convenient. Glad we made the purchase. It certainly is better than cleaning the bottom when it's 100 degrees or freezing outside.

I live in a "cottage community" named Kingwood, TX, just outside of Houston. I don't expect that to mean much to the average Amazon shopper, but it's important to note that Kingwood is marketed as "The Livable Forest". When it was being developed in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, great care was taken to preserve the trees in what had once been timberland owned by paper and wood companies. The foliage is very dense. There is no place in my yard or time of year when pine needles and leaves aren't constantly falling. We even have a sweetgum tree that drops little gumball-sized pinecones that are worse to step on than lego, especially barefoot, like you would be while swimming. Our pool is under constant assault. Raking every day was a hopeless exercise in futility. We bought a battery-operated "leaf blaster" that attaches to the end of a pole and vacuums the leaves into a net bag. When gumballs weren't jamming the impeller, it was such a huge job to vacuum that the kids and I would take turns working and still be too tired to play in the pool when we finished the endeavor. Worse, if the pool started to get algae, we couldn't see the bottom to clean out the debris. We would treat/shock/filter out the algae and discover a layer of leaves at the bottom, still covered in algae that would re-infest the pool as soon as they were stirred up by a rake or the leaf blaster, leaving us blind to continue removing them, and the maddening vicious cycle would continue. It's a 27' pool with two pump inlets, so adding skimmers to those helped catch a LOT of the leaves and debris before it sank to the bottom, but the skimmers can't catch everything and the cycle continued. I asked a few neighbors, did a lot of online research, and sifted through hundreds of pool cleaning options (just watch what happens to your facebook timeline after you've googled it a few times). A highly-trusted colleague and friend bragged on and on about her Dolphin robot and the reviews were good, so I got hung up between the E10 and the more expensive Escape. The Escape purports to be able to climb walls and have better mapping of the pool surface (plus wifi/app controls, IIRC). I decided to save myself $200 and go with the cheaper E10. NO REGRETS! It doesn't matter if the water is clear or not. Just drop it in, turn it on, and walk away. Come back in an hour, empty the basket, and start it again. Lather, rinse, repeat until the basket comes out clean. It picks up leaves, pine needles, GUMBALLS, and even small sticks! If algae rears its ugly head, we can be confident that there is no debris left on the floor of the pool before kicking it with only one treatment and shock. It's not supposed to be able to climb walls, but it does occasionally go up the wall to the water line before backing back down. Reviewers complaining about it doing wheelies don't seem to understand how it works. This is how it reorients itself to change directions. An external bag instead of a filter basket would be nice so that I could add a bigger one, but then the filtration might not be as good. This isn't much of a shortcoming, because the basket is extremely easy to remove and hose out. The screens can even be popped out of it for more thorough cleaning. The power supply did fail on ours less than a year after we bought it but Maytronics, for their part, was great. They had me email some photos of the failing unit's behavior, asked a few simple questions, then sent me a new one without even asking that I return the old one (I'm a pretty technical guy, so I may try to fix it as a spare, should the new one die after the warranty expires). I REALLY wish the wire had a swivel joint on the robot (it does swivel at the power supply, sort of). After a couple of cycles, the wire will be hopelessly wound up and tangled. It's not too much of a hassle to disconnect it from the power supply and untangle it, but it shouldn't be necessary. Some users have reported good results by putting foam pool noodles over the wire to prevent it from tangling. I may try that. All in all, we have a huge above-ground pool in a notoriously hot environment with lots of trees. It's a perfect storm of conditions that can turn pool ownership into a nightmare. This robot changed our lives and was worth the expense.

Where do I begin? I bought this from Amazon back in 2023. It worked perfectly until it stopped climbing the walls of the pool. Before I sent it out to Maytronic's authorized repaid center, under warranty to fix, I bought a back up. That was on March 23, 2025. 11 months after the first purchase. Upon receiving the new one, I sent the first one out for repair. It took 5 weeks to get it back! Has I not bought the second one as a "backup" my pool here in the Las Vegas summer heat would have been infested with algae! It took over 9 times to get the product to connect to the same wifi (2.4mhz) as the first one. Which was very frustrating. I placed it in the pool, and it worked fine an "climbed the pool walls" to do it's job as advertised. The first one was returned from repair and I noticed it looked the same as when I sent it. The guide wheels looked "used" as when I sent it. I casually dismissed the notion thinking it was "repaired" to its original working condition. Fast forward to September 18th. The back up (newest Dolphin) just stopped working. After 5 back and forth emails and phone calls, Maytronic finally agrees to issue a warrant RMA for repair. So, shipping cost for a second Maytronic dolphin was one me. Now I was out an extra $123.89 for TWO failed Doplhins plus the cost of over $1,845.00 for buying them. The back up only worked for less than 4 months in the pool! I place the original (repaired) Dolphin in the pool and the wifi hooked up immediately! BUT it would NOT climb the walls which was why it was sent in for repair! Unbelievable! Needless to say, it gets worse. The back up Dolphin gets sent again the their authorized facility and after the repair, and numerous calls to Maytronic's 3rd party call center in the Philippines, agrees to send a "prepaid" return label, the RMA and ship directly to Duluth Headquarters for repair. Meanwhile I have NO Dolphin in my pool and the algae grows. My back up plan failed miserably when I trusted their product! Now fast forward to October. I was promised another "prepaid label" to fix the wall climbing problem that wasn't fixed in the second repair!!! During this process (5 weeks now) Maytronics sends me an email. See below: Dear James Bxxxxxxxxxx, Thank you for contacting Maytronics Customer Care. I have confirmed that your Replacement Dolphin order has been shipped. Your tracking number is (797663863661) with the carrier FedEx. Please allow 3-5 business days for your Dolphin to be delivered with Ground shipping. If your Dolphin tracking shows delivered, but you have yet to receive it, please check with your neighbors to ensure it was not accidentally delivered to them. So ask yourself, how did they loose the original receipt and approve a warranty (RMA issued) ? Just to recap as of today the Dolphin sent in TWICE for repair so it can clean the walls of my pool is still not working and I am waiting for the RMA< Prepaid Label! The missing Dolphin sent to Maytronics Duluth location is still missing!!! 3 unanswered emails with notice of purchase sent, I have heard ZERO from this company! Would I recommend this product? Sure if you buy 3 for continuous back ups you might be ok. Will update this saga as in develops. UN pleased customer for sure! $2,000 later and still NO working product in my pool! Not to mention the added $386.00 of additional algae liquids I had to buy to keep the pool from turning swamp green.

I had been using a really good Nitro NC51 Wall Climber Robotic Pool cleaner for the past 8 years for my 24' round above ground pool. It was a GREAT pool bottom cleaner that also cleaned the walls up to the water line. But 2 years ago I spent $250 to replace the cord and the power supply. Last week the pump motor died. Decided not to sink any more money into the old Nitro which is hard to find parts for these days. Time for something new. Did a lot of research and bought the Dolphin E10 (which rumor has it is the same unit as the Dolphin S50 and Escape...just different colors). Honeymoon phase? Yes...it arrived today and I had it in the water 15 minutes after I un-boxed it. I'll give an update in a month or so after I've used it a few times. Fingers crossed. Pros ------ 1) Cleans great. This new cleaner cleans the floor of my pool better than my old Nitro. Note that I also bought the Ultra Fine Filter Basket with the E10 so I don't know how well the the regular filter basket works. 2) Very easy to swap in/out the Ultra Fine Filter Basket or the stock basket that comes with the unit. There is nothing to change out on mine. Read some reviews where you had to change something to swap baskets. Not on mine. 3) Although it is not designed to climb the walls, this one went up the wall about a foot or two....at least today it did. 4) The cord does not get tangled. My old cord on my Nitro used to tangle up all the time. This one is brand new and I had zero tangling...I don't know, maybe I just got lucky. Cord is very thick and seems more heavy duty that my last cleaner's cord. 5) Very easy to use. Easy to put in the water, easy to connect and power up. After the 1st 90 minute cycle was done, my pool was about 90% clean. Only a couple of spots near the edges of the pool bottom were not cleaned. So I turned the power button off then back on and ran it for another 90 mins. (Note: I read in the manual after that it's recommended to wait 30 seconds before turning back on again for another cycle. I'll do that next time.) Pool was virtually spotless after the 2nd 90 minute cycle. Very impressed. 6) Easy to clean the filter basket when done. Just remove the basket and spray it down lightly with a hose. My old Nitro unit had a plastic frame piece and a mesh bag that I had to deal with rinsing and putting back together. This one is much easier. 7) It's pretty heavy. About twice as heavy as my old Nitro. This is both good and bad in my eyes. To me this should mean it hugs the bottom of the pool better than a lighter unit, and probably cleans better. 8) I think the "tank tracks" allow the unit to do more cleaning than spinning around like my old Nitro did which had wheels. 9) Price. Relatively speaking this unit (even with the extra $ to buy the ultra fine filter basket) is less expensive than a lot of other models. Cons ------ 1) As many have stated, it's a bummer it doesn't come stock with the Ultra Fine Filter basket. 2) The 90 minute cycle time is a bit short. My old cleaner had a 1 hour cycle time option or a 3 hour cycle time option. I wish this one also had a 2 or 3 hour cycle time. But it's really not a big deal to run it again after the first cycle ends if needed. 3) Since the unit is heavy I'm going to be extra careful when pulling the cleaner across the pool back to my deck before I pull it out of the water. I learned this from my old cleaner after spending over $100 on a new cord (and I was very careful with that cord). The cords are one of the first things to go on these cleaners. I made a "pole hook" to reach down into the water to pull the unit up to the surface of the water by the E10's handle. I can then grab the unit with my hand by the handle to take it out of the water. With the weight of this cleaner being so heavy, especially when it's loaded with water, there's no way i'd every pull it out by the cord. (Note: my "pole hook" consists of an old broom stick (without the broom) and a screw-in wall hanger that you'd normally see on the wall of someone's garage. Took me 2 minutes to screw the hanger hook into the end of the broom stick. Done. Works great to lift the E10 up to the water line.) So there you go. A lot more pros than cons. Happy camper. Only time will tell if I'll be happy over the long run.

We have owned our pool for 15 years and used many pool vacuums. Cordless units were the worst, as they didn’t have enough power to clean well. Also I like to run our pool vacuum when I shock the pool for several hours, to evenly distribute the mix and prevent burning of the pool finish. Cordless units don’t have enough battery life for that. We have tried most all pool vacuums (booster pump powered, battery and corded) and most manufacturers; however this Dolphin Nautilus works AMAZING and has our pool looking news again. The filters are great and are high capacity (fall day clean ups) and its simple to operate. Would highly recommend this unit to others.

I previously had the Nautilus CC (not plus). It stopped working after about 3 years and I was so fed up with the tangling of the cord that I upgraded to the Nautilus CC Plus. I am very happy with this upgraded version (with the exception of it getting stuck on the steps). Pros: * Cleans a lot more areas such as the waterline and steps * The cord doesn't get tangled (so far) * Can run daily without intervention * No vacuum hose Cons: * It does consistently get stuck on the steps * It is heavier than its predecessor * The baskets are annoying to clean out (but also can be a plus see notes below) I do love the Nautilus CC Plus vacuum and I think it is well worth the investment. Since we upgraded to the "Plus" version our tiles have remained clean with little effort on our part. My husband said he could tell a big difference when brushing the pool, the steps have little dirt compared to previously. The cord! I can't say enough about the cord. The previous version did not have a swivel cord and after a year of use, it was similar to the old telephone cords that would get so tangled you had to try to dangle the phone to let it spin to untangle. Unfortunately, you can't dangle the cleaner to do the same, so no matter how much I tried the cord would just tangle back up in a day. With the "Plus" version it comes with a swivel cord and while you may see large circles of the cord in the pool it does not get tangled and can do its job. This earns major points in my book. My con's are not enough for me not to recommend this pool vacuum. The biggest issue is that it does get stuck on my steps about 80% of the time. It just manages to get at an angle that the brushes/wheels just spin and can't grab anything to make it move. Usually, it is so close to the surface that when it is stuck it is very noticeable because the water shooting from the top (which is designed to push it against the floor and walls) is like a waterfall sound. Due to it getting stuck often, I run it during the morning before I go to work so I can listen to it and redirect it when it happens. I mentioned the baskets were annoying to clean. This is compared to the previous version and it is a + and -. There are two thin baskets to clean. You have to take a part the basket in order to remove the debris which if that is all you want to do is a little annoying. However, if you want to fully clean the basket, hose it down, etc. the fact that it comes apart makes it much easier to run under a hose and remove all the debris. It may be heavier than the previous version but that may be why it works so much better. The fact that it climbs up the wall and rides the waterline, cleans the steps (even if it gets stuck), and has a swivel cord so it doesn't get tangled makes it a great product. I do wish I would have purchased the version that can be controlled by the app but at the time of purchase, it was $100 more. At the time I'm writing this review the app version is the same price I paid so I missed out on that. Next upgrade I will include the version controlled by the app for added ease of use.

I've been using this Dolphin Nautilus CC robotic pool cleaner for a little over two years in my 10,000 gal gunite pool, and overall I've been very happy with it. The biggest advantage is how easy it is to use. I simply drop it in the pool, let it run its cleaning cycle, and empty the filter basket afterward. The filter is easy to access and clean, and the robot consistently picks up dirt, leaves, and other debris from both the floor and walls of the pool. The cleaner has no trouble climbing and cleaning the walls of my pool, which helps reduce the amount of manual scrubbing required. However, it has trouble cleaning the pool steps, so I still need to brush those manually from time to time. After more than two years of regular use, the unit itself is still working well. The only maintenance issue I've encountered is that the floating power cord is beginning to show wear and will likely need replacement soon. The cord also tends to develop tangles during operation, although this has not noticeably affected the cleaner's performance or cleaning coverage. Pros: Reliable cleaning performance Easy-to-clean filter basket Climbs and cleans pool walls effectively Simple operation with minimal maintenance Still functioning well after more than two years of use Cons: Power cord tangles frequently Cannot clean pool steps Replacement cord may be needed after a few years of regular use Overall, this has been a dependable robotic pool cleaner that has significantly reduced the time I spend maintaining my pool.
