  • Great Product/Great Company
Color: Gray
This works extremely well and rarely needs to be charged. We've had it run for a few weeks 24/7 in AZ without having to recharge it. Does a great job skimming the pool surface. Aiper not only makes great products, but their customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced. They are very responsive, extremely nice, and make finding a resolution very easy. Wish other companies would follow their customer service model. I also have the Aiper Scuba 3 and it does an amazing job cleaning the floor, walls and tiles of the pool. ... show more

  • Yes, it can work along with a Polaris pressure side hose pool cleaner! Yes, it can work along with a Polaris pressure side hose pool cleaner!
Color: Gray
This thing works great! And yes, it works with a Polaris pressure side hose cleaner, which most people say can't work. I was out for an evening swim, when some lights reflected on the water surface, revealing all kinds of things floating around: tiny bugs, pollen/dust, flower petals, etc. It seems that every one of my neighbors has a crepe myrtle tree with petals that blow into our pool. I didn't like the idea of swimming around in all of that stuff. So I started searching for a skimmer. I figure a skimmer can trap debris before it has time to sink to the bottom, also making things easier on the Polaris. But, all the reviews said you couldn't use a solar skimmer along with a hose cleaner. I saw someone mention adding weights to the hose, but I had an idea. I debated between the Aiper and the Bette skimmer, but I like the idea of having an app, with a scheduler, in case I need to schedule around the hose cleaner or something. I went ahead and ordered the Aiper Surfer S2. Cheaper than the Bette at the time. It arrived. I linked the app, set it in the water and turned it on. It ran around doing its thing. Awesome. But then, it got to the hose and got stuck. Just like they said. I tried scheduling the skimmer to turn off for an hour so the hose cleaner could run. But the hose cleaner would surround the skimmer and they'd both get stuck. I thought about alternating, like pulling the Polaris out and dropping it in as needed. Or letting it run, and only putting the skimmer in as needed. But I really liked the idea of the skimmer running 24/7, and the Polaris running for an hour every day. So I experimented. SOLUTION! The solution turned out to be pretty easy. I simply removed almost all of the hose floats. I removed 6 of them. There are now only 3. There's one on the section of hose coming from the side of the pool. There's one on the 2nd hose section. And there's one on the 3rd section, right above the rescue valve. That 3rd float stays submerged and only helps the valve stay out of the way of the cleaner. Only 2 floats are actually on the surface. I made sure the 1st section, coming from the wall, stays slightly higher in the water than the 2nd section. And of course the 3rd section goes down to the cleaner. Think of each section of hose as kind of "draping" into the water, but not reaching the bottom. There are now only 2 floats at the surface, and the hose drops away on both sides of each float at a sharp angle. I had to get into the water and just slide the floats until I got them the way I wanted. Now, the skimmer glides over the hoses without touching them at all. If it runs into one of the 2 floats, it gently powers over them. The floats are kind of held down by the weight of the hoses, so they are easy for the skimmer to push over. See video. End result is that my pool looks INCREDIBLE now. The bottom surface is spotless, as it gets cleaned for an hour every day. And the Polaris makes good use of the hour, by not getting stuck, and by having a Zipper closure on the bag. It actually cleans, instead of just looking busy. (Our old Pentair Racer looked busy but kept sticking in the corners and blowing debris straight out of the velcro opening.) The Aiper skimmer runs 24/7 on the surface. It doesn't have a set pattern or mapping, but it is relentless and tireless! No bugs, no pollen, no crepe myrtle petals can hide forever. The water shimmers and is clear from the top surface, through the middle, all the way down to the bottom. It really looks incredible. We keep staring at it in wonder. It is that noticeable. And when I went out for an evening swim, the water was like it just poured out of a filtered pitcher. Get one of these skimmers. If you have a hose cleaner, remove most of the floats. Enjoy crystal clear water. Note: In the video, I still had 4 floats, not 3. I later removed one more float that was not needed, so only 3 floats remain. This video should give you a good idea of how it is setup, and how easily the skimmer can push over a hose float, so long as you remove most of them. ... show more

  • Excellent Pool Cleaner – Highly Recommend! Excellent Pool Cleaner – Highly Recommend!
Color: Gray
I've been using the Aiper Surfer S2 for several weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its cleaning performance. It handles debris effectively and navigates my pool with ease. It picks up leaves, dust, dirt, and small particles without any problems. Setup was straightforward, and maintenance is minimal. For the price point, this is a solid investment for anyone looking to keep their pool clean without the hassle of manual skimming. Aiper's customer service has also been responsive and supportive. Very satisfied with this Aiper Surfer S2 product. I also own and use an Aiper Scuba S1 product. ... show more

  • I No Longer Have a Pool Guy. I Have a Pool Robot Overlord.
Color: Gray
Purchased a year ago and just wow!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I no longer have a pool guy. I have a pool robot overlord. I bought the Aiper Surfer S2 thinking it would just skim some leaves. What I did not expect was to become emotionally attached to a solar-powered disc that cruises my pool like it owns the place. This thing works 24/7. TWENTY-FOUR HOURS. SEVEN DAYS. I don’t even work that hard and I have a mortgage. It seeks out sunlight to recharge itself, then gets right back to cleaning. My therapist could never. The obstacle avoidance is genuinely impressive — it frees itself when it gets stuck, which is more self-awareness than I had in my 20s. The app lets me check the battery and remote control it, which means I now spend my weekends on the patio with a cold drink, steering a robot around my pool like a tiny aquatic drone pilot. Is this what peak adulthood feels like? Yes. Yes it is. The DebrisGuard actually keeps debris IN the basket when you lift it out, so no gross splashback. Whoever engineered that feature deserves a raise and a fruit basket. My pool has never been cleaner. 10/10. Would let it run my life. ... show more

  • Good but not wonderful--need patience
Color: Gray
Update-7-25-25-- After about two months... I'm raising the rating to four stars from three for two reasons: 1.Aiper customer service reached out and was very proactive in trying to make me happy and resolve my problem with the unit. 2. I understand better that to get a 60x15 pool you have to be very patient, as in very, very patient, like minimum 2 hours, better 3 hours with the pool filter, in my case, no more than 50% power. It will then pick up a good 85%-90% of bugs and stuff. It's what one could call "a process." For these reasons, I figure it's closer to four starts that three. Really about 3.5 stars. Having used this for more than a month in our 60' lap pool, there are ups and downs, much like life itself. The pros: --After charging via plug once, never have had to do it again. The solar panel keeps the battery charged at +/- 90%. --Of given enough time, it will pick up everything in its path. --Cleaning the unit is very easy and trouble free, as advertised. --The App is handy, with caveats (see below). Cons: --The sensors in front of the unit are only meant to steer it away from some obstructions. The big problem from my POV is that the skimmer turns from the pool wall about a foot away, much of the time. It also avoids corners. Unfortunately, these are where, by some law of physics, dead bugs and flies favor. --As noted above, given enough time, the surfer will pick up everything in its random path--and the path is totally random. It's the 50% of dead bugs and stuff along the wall edges and corners that are problematic. --The skimmer's path is affected by things like the breeze and strength of the pool filter. Instructions recommend running the skimmer when the pool filter is turned off. That's not practical, at least not in my pool. I found it to be more or less useless if the filter pump is turned on more than 50%. --Also, because my pool uses a Polaris 280 with boost pump, the Polaris and its feeder hose must be removed before putting the skimmer in the water. Otherwise the skimmer will become entangled in the Polaris' hose, every time, guaranteed. --At times I swear the skimmer consciously avoids stuff, turning aside at the last moment or navigating between two dead bugs and picking up neither. But that can't be, right? --Though the app provides for manual control, response is sticky at best. Sort of like trying to turn the queen mary around in a bathtub. --A final note, if your coping extends beyond the pool wall more than about half an inch, the unit will get scraped: when our pool was built, schist was selected instead of tile or bluestone for the coping. However, what makes schist attractive is its natural look and feel. The schist slabs have uneven "live" edges, not square cut like tiles or bluestone. While unique and beautiful, the result is the schist overhangs the edge of our pool by about a half an inch or so. While the skimmer has bumper wheels below the water surface to keep it from hitting the wall, they do not extend out enough to prevent the unit from scraping itself along the exposed schist. Conclusions: 1. While I appreciate the tech involved and the fact that it does, eventually, pick up 80%-90% of the floating stuff, knowing what I know now, I'd wait for improvements in the technology that would allow it to cruise closer to pool walls, operate in a programmed path, like a better robot floor vacuum, and is more responsive when using the remote. ... show more

  • Works Great!! Works Great!!
Color: Blue
So far I am extremely happy with my Aiper EcoSurfer S2. This keeps my pool looking pristine. I have not had to manually skim my pool for any reason since I started using it. It picks everything up big or small. I have not had to recharge it, it remains fully charged and running on solar power. This is a game changer since I don’t have the time to manually clean my pool. Hooking it up to the app was a breeze. Initial charging was quick. It is light weight, I can send my kid out to retrieve it. The filter basket is easy to remove and as long as you hold it upright when removing it from the water nothing will fall back in. Everything about this skimmer is easy. I couldn’t be more happy. If anything changes in the future I will update. ... show more

The solar is awesome. Easy to use app and easy to take the tray out and clean. If you are on the fence about it. I will say this. GET IT!!! you wont regret it. ... show more

  • Spectacular Performance Polishing Water
Color: Gray
I bought this product to grab leaves floating on the surface of my in-ground pool, before they could sink and get sucked up by my vacuum-based bottom cleaner. It certainly performed that function extremely well. What I didn't realize was that my pool surface also had a persistent layer of dust, pollen, and other urban gunk that made the surface look dull. This cleaner also removed that layer, making the water look spectacularly polished. I was doubly impressed and set my review at five stars. The packaging was top notch, and the provided phone app was well thought out and worked perfectly. Given this level of satisfaction, I found myself doubly disappointed when the left of two propellers stopped working in less than a year. I swapped propellers, but the problem stayed on the left. Each propeller snaps onto an axle assembly that has a cable routed into a waterproof box housing the control electronics. I opened up the electronics box and saw cable connectors that allowed me to swap left and right axle assemblies, and the problem stayed on the left. This told me the problem was with the axle assembly, not the electronics. Thinking that I could never get replacement parts, I lowered my review to just one star, thinking it was game over for the Aiper. Well, stay tuned. Shortly thereafter, I was contacted by Aiper who asked for additional information, and they concluded the best path forward was to give me a completely new unit. This told me two things about Aiper: (1) they monitor reviews to access customer satisfaction, and (2) they go the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied. Because of that outstanding customer support, I have restored my review to five stars. The new unit arrived in just a few days, and it is busy restoring that polished look to my pool surface. One other hint for those who might have a bottom vacuum cleaner with a long floating hose like I do: My Aiper liked the hose, and they developed a relationship that interfered with efficiency. I got some 14-gauge stainless steel wire and wrapped it into the spiral of the hose in three places along its length (about 10 wraps each). This sank the hose a bit, making it look like the Lock Ness monster that breaks the surface just here and there. The Aiper and the hose now play nice together. ... show more
