We have had our Aiper for awhile now and my husband and I both wish we would have purchased it sooner. It truly is a time-saving and simple to use device. Simply stick it in the pool, and it does its job! It works ALL day and ALL night using solar power to charge its battery. We remove and dump the basket weekly, but more often in the fall. It catches SO many leaves! Our pool sits somewhat under a tree so we used to have a lot of leaves that would get to the bottom of the pool. Now, it’s RARE that we find any leaves at the bottom of the pool. I’m so happy that we found this device! It keeps our pool looking gorgeous with pretty much little to no effort at all. My only regret was not purchasing this sooner! Some more things I love: frequent updates to keep it running smoothly, easy to use app, easy to remove and not too heavy, AMAZING customer service.

I’ve been really impressed with the Aiper S2. It’s cordless, super easy to use, and does a great job picking up dirt and debris from the bottom of the pool. I love that I can just drop it in, let it do its thing, and not have to deal with hoses or dragging out a vacuum. The battery lasts long enough to clean the whole pool, and the filter basket is easy to rinse out when it’s done. Overall, it’s made pool maintenance a lot simpler and saved me a ton of time. Definitely a great investment if you want something that works without a lot of hassle. Also, we had a great customer service experience when our machine broke down and we had to utilize the warranty. Definitely a well spent purchase!

Pros: - The unit works extremely well to keep the pool clean and are more efficient than other brands I have tried. They are mostly quiet, although the unit is not completely silent (of course) - The dual power option is nice to have and I've noticed that they charge very well even on the cloudiest of days. They have not run out of power except during the the winter (which is understandable with less daylight) - The APP is extremely helpful and efficient. Controlling the unit with the APP is a definite plus - Connectivity has been great. My 3 units very seldom lose connection to my Wi-Fi - Aiper includes a short foam roll to place in/on your pool water intake so that the unit is less prone to getting stuck should you run the unit and your pool circulation at the same time. A nice addition. Feedback: - I had some issues with what sounded like "grinding" on two of the unit debris baskets bought here on Amazon. I contacted Aiper customer service on two of the units and they sent replacements very quickly. Cannot beat their customer support. Overall: This is a great product and will keep your pool surface extremely clean.

After one summer of use, I can say that our Surfer S2 has been great. It did a good job of skimming the surface of our pool and keeping the surface clean. We found that it worked best to just leave it running 24/7, especially during times when blooms or other debris from our trees was actively coming down. It was a game changer from having to use a net all the time. It also helped reduce the amount of debris in the pool skimmer baskets. I also really like how it charges itself via the sun. This makes it almost care free. Never had to charge it all summer. It ran through the night and recharged itself during the day while running. There was only 1 problem. There is a spinning reel at the front of the unit that pulls material into it's hopper. This reel is supported by little ball bearings. One bearing completely failed on our original S2, causing the reel to freeze up. Aiper sent us a replacement S2. Never had any problems after that. Suspect it was just a bad bearing from the beginning. Really nice that they stand behind their product.

Overall it has been doing a great job skimming the top of the water. I had no issues setting up the app and programming a schedule for it. It appears to do a great job getting everything off the pool surface. I should note my pool has no immediate trees around it so it mainly only skims for bugs and little things. Seems to do just fine for that. So far it has been keeping a charge via solar with no extra plug in time needed. It does a good job skimming the full surface by constantly changing directions. A couple issues I have noticed that are more unique to my situation but others should be aware of if they have the same. I have a corded underwater cleaner and this skimmer consistently gets caught on the other cleaners cord. I have a swim deck section on my pool. Due to a known leak that has not been fixed yet, the water level goes up and down somewhat frequently. I have to switch this skimmer back and forth between having the legs down and not having the legs down depending on the water level. I have found there is a sweet spot on the water level with the legs down that the skimmer will still climb up onto the swim deck and get itself stuck. Lastly, if you have the return jets turned up at a higher discharge this skimmer may struggle. I have noticed that when driving straight at a return jet, they will push the skimmer backwards even though the propellers are trying to push it forward.
