I like the portability of this grill. The only thing I dislike is the lack of a lid/cover. I used the same amount of charcoal I would use in my full-size Webber kettle grill and it handled it with no issues. Cooking at that heat with this little grill requires frequent turning and constant attention. This grill emulates open flame cooking and primarily cooks one side of the food being cooked on it at a time. I’ve never cooked on a charcoal grill without a lid so this took some getting used to. Also, because there is no lid or adjustable vents there is no way to regulate the heat, so the amount of charcoal used is extremely important. Does a great job with holding charcoal for a portable table top grill for the family. Grill grate is not ideal for small meat size or if you're intending to use it for grilling shrimps or vegetables... will fall through the gap. We swapped out this grill top for a baking rack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017MWU59Y?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Now it is perfect for the family korean bbq night. Entire component is flimsy so you have to handle carefully to avoid bending the thin metal structure. Other than the oversize rack and flimsy material, it works out great so far. ... show more

Does what it say it does. It's a nice size to cook for 1 to maybe 4 ppl, depending on what you're cooking. You could do a lot of hot dogs on it but maybe only 6 burgers. I do wish it had a lid or something to help bock the wind. As long as there is no wind it's great but if there's a breeze it can Be tough to get started ... show more

It is nice overall. 2 Issues: Thee handle is difficult to attach and as some other commenters mentioned it can be difficult to remove to rack for adding more charcoal. I found using a fork helps because you can lift it more easily if misaligns. I was worried at first because 2 or so people said their grill melted, I suspect they used copious amounts of lighter fluid because from my experience with kingsford match light briquettes there's no way the grill could melt. ... show more

This compact grill is super easy to assemble, no screws or tools needed. It cooked 6 pork chops easily. My only worry is longevity. It is much lighter than I imagined it to be. Over all though very pleased.
