  • Aeroski
I love it. It is fun to use. I am so out of shape and 10 minutes here and there through-out the day has worked for me. I feel better and I have begun to tone up. I am satisfied with the purchase.

  • Commit to 5-6 uses before making a conclusion
This Aeroski machine has been in my Facebook feed and I was curious enough to want to try. I ordered from Amazon instead of Aeroski for a few reasons even though the product cost a little less at Aeroski's website. Amazon had a 90 day return window while Aeroski only allowed 30. To return it to Aeroski, customer pays shipping. Since I was not sure I would like the machine, I didn't want to commit 100% before being able to try it. I got the Aeroski and got it out of the box. I was a little overwhelmed at the assembly - but that is because putting things together is not something I'm good at. I don't even build with Lego! Even so, I followed the directions and got it together without any trouble. I won't say the directions were excellent - the diagrams were a bit small and hard to make out but the instructions were clear and the screws, nuts, etc. were clearly labeled. The first time stepping on the Aeroski felt very unstable/unsteady. The base (where you step, put your feet) moves with any motion. That takes a little getting used to. There are 3 modes you can choose from. Hands free, ski poles, or stable bar. Start with the stable bar and follow the directions which have you screw it in to the base! It gives you something to hold on to while you are climbing on, and to hold/steady yourself while you first start using the Aeroski. Then if and when you feel ready, try skiing without gripping the bar but hovering your hands over it in case you need it. Then try the ski poles or hands free. Otherwise you're likely to fall off. It took me 5-6 'sessions' with the stable bar before I felt ready to do more. Now that I'm using the ski poles, I feel like I'm getting a better workout. I can feel it in my thigh and calf muscles. The machine itself does not take up much space. About 4 feet by 2 feet floor space. And without the poles/stable bar (which detach easily) it is about 20 inches high. The foot base however can be removed very quickly, easily and then the base itself would be low enough to slide under most beds for storage. The machine is lightweight - under 50 pounds including all parts. There is some noise when in use from the parts moving, but I would not call it loud. It might be quieter than my regular treadmill actually. My AEroski came with a VR headset but I have not tried it out. I have thrown out the box it came in - since I have decided that I'm keeping the Aeroski. My primary other cardio is walking, either outside or on a treadmill, and I like the variety this gives me. ... show more

  • Great Workout
Just purchased and I see people saying it’s not steady it’s the person on it . You have to step up in the center of the machine than put each foot in the stand use the handle bar if that’s the case , work up to the poles and no poles later . You need to have good form move with your hips and keep a good position and it should be very easy to get good at it . It’s perfect for balance and hip rotation and to build muscles for everything and yes sking as well. I love it and the workouts are over before I even want to stop . ... show more

  • SPRINGS Fail within a few weeks of LIGHT use.
The springs are low quality and almost fail immediately. Then they want to send you 1 Spring kit at a time. There are 3 springs and you will probably have to be continually ordering springs. I paid over $400 and regret very much. This is very fun to use, but find another brand that does same thing. If they were to change springs with high quality, this would be a great product otherwise. ... show more

  • Great workout
At first, it's kind if difficult and unsteady (not for clumsy people:-). Has to hang on the rail for a dear life;-)After 5th workout I am able to workout without hands. I strengthtened my thighs and lateral abdominal muscles amazingly fast! Everything was also hurting me at first, knees, lower back and hips, but turned out it was just weak muscles. Now its perfect. I'm kind of lazy to do other workouts, but this one is a lot of fun and I look forward to next one. I have herniated discs and some exercises bothers my back, but this one does not. I waa skeptical to buy, since it's kind of new and there are not too many reviews, but now I am super happy about the purchase and it's great price and easy device that builds muscles really fast. It's light enough to carry around the house. Just buy a rubber matt to protect your carpet or floor, it stains a little. My matt is 36x72 inches. ... show more

  • Experienced downhill skier living in FL
Accomplished skier (46 years experience)...was expecting more... I grew up in ND & learned to ski on a small hill (Fort Ransom) in the early 80's but traveled often to MT, SD, CO, NV to ski & occasionally to compete in downhill slaloms. Skied often in South Korea & Austria while assigned in USAF. This machine provides a great workout but purchasers need to understand that this will not simulate parallel skiing at all. How to make it better for a parallel skier: 1: Have an option to place the foot pads closer together. 2. Have option for a foot pad platform that allows for forward/backward motion. As many parallel skiers do, I am one who "tucks" their uphill knee into their their downhill when skiing to allow my skis to remain very close together. I realize that this may pose a safety issue for some, it would be great for those training to parallel in great form. An option for making this more effective but less safe is to have an option to place the foot pads closer to more approximate those of us who parallel. 3. Provide a quality VR experience for the user. This has to be the lowest quality VR headset ever. Blurry image despite focus and PD settings (I am a retired optometrist, so I know a little bit about optics). The icons on my normal phone screen show thru the images so that is very distracting. App locks/stalls excessively. Just a big headache. Will be "skiing" to my normal 80's rock songs to keep my rhythm...was hoping I could do this while experiencing a valuable downhill experience. Consider adding trail ratings...where are the moguls?? I'll still use this while watching music videos on TV but I would have preferred a range of quality VR slopes to ski. ... show more
