This chicken tractor is made with the poorest materials. Several of the pre-made sections were falling apart just from shipment. Three of us spent over an hour replacing tiny nails and screws to repair sections before we could even begin assembly. It took another 2.5 hours to assemble this flimsy. You need to people at least to put it together. I was worried to even move it once assemble. I don't know what kind of wood they use in China, but it's very soft! I do not recommend this product!! This arrived broken. The wood is very flimsy and I worry about how long this will last. Overall the materials feel very cheap. There is no roosting bar inside the coop so I will have to add one. I do like that it's on wheels and easy to move. We will be keeping this in the barn so it's out of the elements and it will hopefully last longer. We bought it as a back up in case one or two of our chickens need to be separated from the rest of the flock. I would not purchase this again. ... show more

The build quality could use a lot of work on this. I guess that’s what you expect out of a cheap per option. A lot of the boards were broken or coming out of the screw so we had to fix them. Some boards were broken so we had to replace those as well. In the long run, save yourself time and money and just build one yourself from scratch. ... show more

Pretty nice coop. Didn’t come with a roosting bar. It didn’t come with all the parts to put on the wheels. Some of the wood split easily when putting together.

    • Cost Effective for size and ability to be mobile

It's a cute cheap option for chicks to use between the brooder and big coop transition. However I've take off two stars because it doesn't come with roosting bars or a closable door to keep your chickens safely inside. Luckily I have a handy husband who fixed that for me. Quality isn't great and I wouldn't use it as a permanent home but it does work well for a brooder and hospital pen. I didn't have any issues with messing pieces, instructions, or broken parts. It was simple and quick to build. Latch, hinges, and hardware are a bit flimsy so if you're in a high predator area or plan to use it as a full time coop, I'd upgrade the those.
