The chicken coop in question garners mixed reviews, illustrating a varied customer experience. While some users highlight its sturdiness, aesthetic appeal, and quick assembly, others criticize its durability, assembly challenges due to incorrect or missing parts, and potential security issues for the chickens. The coop appears to fit the needs of those looking for a basic, visually pleasing shelter for a small number of chickens, but its longevity and resistance to predators are in question.

Pros

  • 🐔 Sturdy construction and nice aesthetics reported by some users
  • 🔧 Quick assembly time with straightforward directions for many
  • 🏡 Aesthetically pleasing design that complements yards or gardens
  • 🚪 Features such as easy access doors and pull-out trays for cleaning

Cons

  • 🛠 Some assembly challenges due to incorrect or missing parts

Should I Buy It?

If you are seeking a visually appealing chicken coop for a small number of chickens and are prepared for potential assembly challenges and modifications for security, this coop could be suitable. However, if your primary concerns are durability and predator protection or you have more than a few chickens, you might want to consider other options.

  • Great starter setup even with some flimsy materials.
We have 4 hens and placed this easy to assemble coop under a 10'x20' fenced in and covered area. The hens sleep up on the top of the middle section since we have it covered. They knock off those bars inside the houses and don't really perch there ever. We move it around the yard with the fenced in cover and it has probably a little faster wear because of that. We get compliments on the look of it. The hens like their boxes. Paint has worn in several areas in and out and some stapled parts have come apart but easy enough to just reattach and reinforce. The roofs are good quality and don't have leaking issues. The trays slide out so to hose down the inside and outside it is no problem. The dividers slide into slots that are not very sturdy, some spots broke beyond repair but the divider can still be propped up with what is left there. ... show more

  • VERY Cute but HORRIBLY MADE
Color: Natural Wood
This coop is east to assemble, minus some of the pre drilled holes don’t measure up right so you’ll need to make your own. If you live in the country I don’t recommend using this alone as we have now lost 4 of our 6 chickens from fox and raccoons. A raccoon simply lifted up the lid to the nesting box while they were sleeping and killed two of them. As of last night, a fox has now gotten two of my chickens by just pulling the cheaply made nesting box bottom clear off while they were sleeping and killed two more. Both times were caught on surveillance cameras. The coop is beautiful when you first put it together! It took about 3wks of my chickens going up the ramps to tear of the step grid. The top crown cover was broke upon arrival, but we made do because I initially was in love with this coop. Looks aren’t worth having your poor chickens go to sleep and being attacked even after the coop is closed up. Do not recommend! ... show more

  • Perfect, well made chicken coops to start babies in
I bought this coupe design because I had 17 baby chicks that I started in my closet to keep them safe and my husband put this together in just a few hours and he said it was well packed and everything was numbered and the directions were amazing and my chicks were so happy to get into this two house set up with lots of room between the two houses to run around and explore. It was such a good price and so well-made and I think we will get many years of use out of it. When they are big enough to go out on their own on our property, they will return to it to lay their eggs since they will be familiar with it , I highly recommend this ... show more

  • Quick and easy to put together; great for the price
Color: Natural Wood
Really like this coop but it is my first so take my review with a grain of salt. After trying to get a coop locally at the tractor supply and finding nothing but damaged and out of stock options, I took a chance on this little beauty. The wife loves it, the chickens appear to enjoy it and it seems to have plenty of room for my 4 chickens (2 Speckled Sussux, and 2 Prairie Bluebell). It has sturdy hardware wire for the run, wood dials for the important bits to line up, and pre-drilled holes to start screws. Just make sure you are taking the time to build it and have level solid ground and you will be fine. Can't say how long it will hold up as i will say it is thin wood and you will need to do some sealing of cracks and slits in between some parts (nesting box and coop) but again not difficult or problematic. There are a few videos from other users that will give you a great view of the build and finished product as well as add on bits after he finished. Highly recommend you search for and view if your interested as it will give a great deal of information. ... show more

  • Very happy with this chicken coop
The media could not be loaded. I like the appearance it looks very nice. My 2 week old chicks really like it. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before selecting this one. My biggest complaint is it came in 2 different shipments and Amazon said the whole thing had been delivered and I had to contact the seller but they informed me fedex split the shipment up and the 2nd box came 3 days later. Now it’s together and I absolutely love it ... show more

  • Not a long term coop
Color: Natural Wood
So. First off we haven’t finished assembly due to receiving incorrect parts which were also incorrectly labeled. The doors are supposed to be opposite which clearly here they are the same. The company very quickly responded and are shipping the replacement. We are glueing down the nesting box bottoms as they are just not sturdy and are concerning for potential predators. We will have to use locks on the lids of the nesting boxes, and most likely carabiners for the patched areas like the run. Parts were also bent pre or during delivery. We will most likely try to build our own coop as we are able, but we were fairly disappointed with the lack of sturdiness in this design. Hopefully this coop proves us wrong but who knows. Edit it blew away in the wind to return it they are requiring we take it apart and send it in. So don’t waste your time ... show more
