I have long been wary of using chemical dyes on my hair; they seemed to damage it and didn't last long, plus were expen$ive as heck to have done in a hair salon. I've searched a long time for a natural dye that I could use instead, but the complicated instructions always worried me a bit, plus the multiple warnings just made me wonder if they were really as natural as advertised. So after a lot of searching and comparing reviews, I finally settled on this one and one other one from a different company that seemed comparable but was a slightly lighter hue. Well, this Adore darkest-brown dye worked great, and beat out the other company on several points. The Adore dye is super-easy to apply - I just rub it all over my hair (with plastic gloves on, because it does stain fingers otherwise), making sure to get the ends. I don't need to wash it out afterwards, just comb, and the hair is soft and nice. It's long-lasting, doesn't rub off on the pillow or on my fingers if I happen to touch my hair. Covers all the grey at least for a week or so. Smells good, not like chemicals. Air-dries quickly. Leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy, feeling soft. No damage or drying detected. I really couldn't ask for it to be better except that I wish it lasted longer than a week or two. But a little does go a long way. Have bought it three times, and plan to continue doing so. A pretty color for fall! First pic is natural outdoor light (in the shade though) and second pic is indoors in front of a window. I applied after shampooing and mixed this with my conditioner. Left it on my unbleached, level 6 brown hair for 15 minutes under a shower cap and towel. It turned out more of a burgundy than a copper brown, I think. Good color, no bleed.. However.. I used this as a replacement for my regular brand cause it was a bit cheaper (been putting in multiple colors for well over a decade) I got a few colors (pink rose, turquoise, green, black, cotton candy pink, purple rage¿i think). The application is fairly easy, it asks for heat processing so break out the blow dryer. Doesn't bleed after the first washout like some do but the color faded much faster, especially from the tips and left my hair much dryer than my usual brand, like I actually had to get some hair oil treatments and masks to help balance out the moisture which ive never had to do. All in all and OK dye but I'm going to go back to my previous brand even if it is a few bucks more. ... show more

Update: washed out really fast :( Honestly, this is like the boy next door- always there for you but you never realized was your soul mate. Until now. I’ve used every other semi-permanent brand out there in a variety of different colors and have not had as god of an experience at such a low cost. A beautifully pigmented color, easy to use, and leaves my hair soft. Love it so much. I’ve avoided this brand because I used it one time a long time ago and didn’t get what I wanted from it (but honestly I was young and probably didn’t use it correctly) but now it’s my new go to. The mocha is a very pretty, reddish brown and I left it in for an hour to let it get darker and I like it a lot. Stained skin and shower just as much as any other brand and comes out with a little bleach in the tub. ... show more
