  • Great budget hair dye option - only works on lightened hair however
Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: 168 Emerald
I decided to try this hair dye after hearing good things online, and overall I wasn't too disappointed. I previously had manic panic voodoo blue over my natural dark blonde hair, which resulted in a nice dark bluish green. I wanted something lighter, so after bleaching my hair over the manic panic and being left with a a light seafoam green/teal, I used the adore hair dye in Emerald. The color was initially vibrant emerald green as shown in the first photo. The second photo is a little under a month and a half after the initial dye job. As you may be able to see, it's faded more towards the roots where I previously had a few inches of natural hair, versus the bottom where it went over what was left of the manic panic. I actually quite like the shade of the faded dye, and it didn't fade very patchy at all, but I have to admit that it doesn't hold up compared to the manic panic amplified in terms of longevity. When I touched up the dye recently, I didn't rebleach my roots and I found out that it didn't cover my natural hair, not even a slight tint. For reference, the last photo is my hair after several months without touching up the aforementioned manic panic. I admit part of the staying power might be attributed to bleached hair being more porous, so the fading will inevitably happen quicker, but not only did the manic panic stay put longer, it covered my natural hair with zero issue. Overall, this brand of hair dye seems great for a budget option, and will probably work well if you like to change up your hair color more frequently. Proceed with caution if using on natural hair however, because in my experience it only worked on bleached hair. If you want a dye that will not budge (even after two bleach baths...) and has a bit more coverage power, I'd suggest the manic panic amplified line :) I should also mention that I only needed one bottle for two full head applications with the hair length pictured, and still have leftover dye. (Note, I do have the sides shaved, and relatively thin hair). ... show more

  • Wow! Long story below.
Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: 030 Ginger
I'm in love. It's stunning. So, let me explain: I love ginger hair – I've been dying my hair ginger since approx. Nov/Dec 2020. Long story short, I went to a salon, the hairstylist did a terrible job, I went to a different one, same story... I hate salons, they don't know how to give me what I want. When I say ginger I mean orange, not strawberry blonde, not reddish brown – orange. Anyway, since those two failed attempts, I've been trying different at home custom hair dye companies and having my fiancé dye my hair because he listens and is willing do to it for me. I loved Color&Co, but they went out of business, so I tried Madison Reed, but their ginger was more red, so I hated it. I finally stumbled on Igora Royal and it's amazing, however, I dye my hair about every 8-10 weeks instead of 4-6 because we're lazy and what happened was last time two 60ml tubes were enough, but I started to grow out my hair since the last time I dyed it and basically two tubes was def not enough and I chose the lighter ginger color whereas I used one light copper one darker copper the first time and I loved it. So we didn't have enough dye and on my first ever salon visit, the stylist gave me highlights, which now are impossible to cover with color the right way. So basically, I had light orange roots, with almost blonde mid to ends. Not great right before a party on the weekend. So I quickly ordered these Adore Semi-Permanent hair dyes and I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I wanted the ginger color – I bought two bottles. Except it looked kinda light so I also got one bottle of Orange Sunrise to deepen it a bit. Two days after the permanent dye, when I dyed my hair, I used one bottle of ginger and probably maybe 1-2 tablespoons of Orange Sunrise, so it wouldn't get too dark. The photo you see is the result. It's so intense, it's amazing. I can't even get that with the permanent dye sometimes. This one was also easier to apply by myself. I'm even thinking of doing it every month with this dye instead of buying permanent, but I can't comment on how long it'll last since I haven't washed it yet since dying it. Also, I don't know what it'll look like on my natural (medium) brown roots when they grow out again. It might not end up dying it the same color and not work. It worked this time cause my roots were already ginger from the permanent dye. I didn't feel/see any damage after using it right after permanent dye. Finally, I did use it on wet hair (towel dried) and the color result is amazing. I saw some people say it didn't work for them unless they did it on dry hair. And I want to mention, whenever I dye my hair, I wrap it in aluminum foil and then a plastic grocery bag on top to add heat, hence why it might have gotten so intense (waited 30 mins before washing). Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted talk! My new fav semi permanent dye and I've never used one before! ... show more

  • Nice color, plenty of product, heat processing
Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 2) Color: 190 Cotton Candy
Update: fades more quicky than others I have tried. For those not wanting it to last too long, yhis could be good, but for me, I was wearing it for cosplay at the end of ,y vacation, and I had to reapply during vacation because it faded too much. I like that this comes with two bottles. I needed two applications because I probably did not get enough conditioner out when I shampooed before the first application, and with shoulder length hair and bangs, I still only used one of the two bottles. The instructions have you apply when wet, which is different from most similar products, and I wonder if that was part of why the color was not distributed as evenly the first time as it needed to be in addition to not getting enough conditioner out. The second time I applied it to dry hair after washing without conditioner, and it worked much better. The other thing that is different about this versus others is the heat processing; I had to buy a shower cap to put over it while I timed it, then I used a hair dryer to keep it warm inside the cap. ... show more

  • Pretty color, could be more pigmented
Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: 190 Cotton Candy
The is inexpensive and the color cotton candy was true to the bottle on my natural hair. My hair is a mix of white and grey and I used it all over with the hope it would take to my white hair. It did, but the application was a bit patchy. There would some spots that didn’t take but I think that is because the texture is more of a gel than a cream and the directions call for it on wet hair. I also didn’t use heat for the full 15 minutes although I did leave it on for 30. Next time I think I will add a little conditioner to help it spread better and as well as put it in dry hair. I’m not sure how long it will stick, but I only wanted temporary color anyway. For the price definitely worth it. ... show more
