    • Worked great when my husband broke a rib
We got this bed specifically because my mother-in-law just had her leg amputated, and if she is able to visit, we want to be able to set things up so that she feels at least sort of able to take care of herself. Also, my husband had broken a rib last fall, and my thought was that having this available for something like that would be handy too. We're getting older, and who knows what could happen. I'm the only short person in the family, so a twin XL made sense, even though we don't yet have a mattress for it. So, of course, after this arrived but before I set it up, my husband rebroke that rib. Uff-dah. That meant I was the one setting this up, in his office, as a temporary thing. My son was able to help me move it, as this is definitely heavy and awkward. The instructions for setting this up do tell you that you need two people to flip the bed over once assembled as well. Something that I wish I would have realized before setting up the bed is that the remote control and the bed itself have their own lighting. There’s a small white LED in the remote which can be used as a flashlight and a light under the bed, both of which are turned on with the remote. Setting it up was fairly easy, but the directions were a bit confusing. Step 3 has you screwing in the legs, which is super simple, but the words used make it sound like you are supposed to be doing far more than that. Steps 4 and 5 both tell you to plug the power cord in (I'd recommend doing it in step 5). Step 6 has you testing the remote and then step 7 has you putting batteries into the remote, which obviously doesn't work in that order. And for step 8, you have to do some pairing, which involves pushing a button on the control box, which is under the bed. I think you could do this before you flip the bed over, but at the very least, I would recommend finding the button before you flip the bed. Otherwise, like me, you will be sliding around on the floor on your back trying to find some obscure button, and it is a lot like pulling yourself around under a low car trying to figure out what is loose. Yuck. So my directions would be: 1) Take bed out of box carefully, and put it on the floor with the top facing down. 2) Cut cable ties and remove all boxes, and look for twist ties as well. 3) Screw the legs in, and tighten them down. 4) Connect the control box cord to the power supply box. Locate the pairing button on the power supply box. 5) Flip the base over (two people needed) and plug the power cord in. 6) Put batteries into the remote, and pair the remote, following written pairing instructions in their #8. Remember you have light available via the remote. 7) Test the remote functions, then put mattress in place. 8) Install mattress retainer bar as per #9 in the instructions. As far as actual use, my husband wrote up some bullet points for me. If you have a long torso, you will either need a very narrow pillow or, like we had to do, you can slide something in between the mattress and the frame to keep the pillow from falling off the bed when you lift up your head. Some people might be OK with being further down on the mattress but, if you need to keep your back straight as I did, you have to scoot so far back that the back of your head is very close to the edge of the mattress. The remote control is very intuitive and easy to use. I tried all three of the pre-programmed bed positions which are TV, anti-snore, and zero-G. All three of them were comfortable and practical for their purpose. The controls for the individual sections are very precise and responsive, immediately moving when you press the button and immediately stopping in the spot where you release. The vibrating massage settings also work very well and helped a lot to battle the discomfort of being stuck in one position too long. I liked the three different intensity settings for both head and foot, but will say that, if you plan to use the highest setting, you should probably put the legs on some sort of folding cloth or other cushioning to keep everything else in the room from shaking on the highest setting. For the most part, the bed remain rock solid in the position that I put it in. One exception, however, was that the head of the bed was able to be pushed down, leaning on it from above while reaching for the wall outlet behind. That is clearly not a regular use case. There is a phone app for the bed, but I opted just to use the remote only because the app is downloaded from a third-party website, not the App Store. ... show more

This is a Twin XL, it comes folded in half but already put together. Well except for having to put the legs on. The frame is black and all metal. The sides have been done in a dark gray colored material. It comes with a power inverter, the batteries for the back up power, and a cord that syncs possibly to another bed. On the underside of the bed is an area where you can plug your cord in so that you can charge your phone. There’s a metal bar at the end that can be attached so that your mattress doesn’t slide. And it does come with a remote, that has a flashlight. This can make the top of the bed go up, or the bottom, or even both. But my favorite part about this bed is that it also vibrates.     • I am surprised at how much convenience, luxury, and comfort this bed frame adds to my sleeping.
I am impressed with the quality of the construction of this multi-function, adjustable bed frame. The bed frame is sturdily built and the powder coat finish is just beautiful. This adjustable bed comes with a remote, and the TV, Zero-Gravity, and Anti-Snore positions are very comfortable and convenient instant settings. I custom tweaked the Anti-Snore position a little bit to make it more comfortable for myself, and stored it under one of the two the Programmable Memory buttons provided. The massage features are very nice, and quite soothing. The USB charging points are so convenient. I now use my smartphone as an alarm clock while it is charging overnight, and my tablet doesn’t go dead mid-movie anymore. I quickly appreciated the convenience of the dual nightlights underneath the bed. These lights allow you to quietly get up in the middle of the night without the need of turning on an intrusive room light, or making the other choice of stumbling around in the dark. This Adjustable Bed Frame is great, and I am surprised at how much convenience, comfort and luxury it adds to my having a better quality sleep experience.
