    • Absolute Garbage trash cans
Color: B-5P

Four of the five arrived in-tact but one of the trash cans was completely destroyed despite the outer packaging being good. Makes me think a faulty one was packed in on purpose. The included trash bags are flimsy and fragile, you're more likely to rip them just trying to tear the bags apart from each other than actually get any kind of use out of them. ... show more

    • Perfect can size for bedroom and office, rather flexible and durable
Color: B-5P
These trash cans are larger than I expected, which is great. I wanted to get them so that each room will have its own trash can, and because they are all the same, it won't matter which one goes in which room. The trash cans are flexible and sort of rubbery, which probably makes them more durable than hard plastic which can become brittle. I was actually worried about whether they had a reinforced lip to prevent cracking at the top, which seems to be a fairly common way our old trash cans end up in the trash can graveyard. Well, fortunately there is a lip around the perimeter at the top of each can; and, even though it is a small lip, it does act as reinforcement. The reason the lip is so small is because there is a second piece to each can -- a hard plastic rim that covers and snaps onto the existing rim. This snap-on rim is designed to hold plastic garbage can liners (aka garbage bags) into place. Once filled, the top rim can be popped off and the bag removed. Although the rim is easily removed, it does a good job of holding the liners; a small roll of liners was included. Because the rim is stiff plastic, I worry that they may crack over time; although the stiff plastic does do a good job of maintaining the shape of the garbage can and can 'mouth' as the can fills up. You could consider these rims to be an extra reinforcement for the can rims. They arrived smelling very stinky with a strong burnt smell; probably residual fumes from production. In any case, I immediately took them outside to air out. After a few days, the smell was gone and the cans were deployed around the house. The black color fits with our 'boho' black wrought iron vibe, and should hide dirt as well, in case we choose to use the cans without liners. ... show more

    • Nice but has a strong new plastic smell
Color: B-5P
Very nice cans but you will want to air them out on your porch for a day or so. I suggest opening the box outside. It has a pretty strong smell from the plastic.
