The thermal pad could have been better. The SSD heats up with the provided thermal pad. But when tested with a good thermal pad, it did NOT get too hot.

Running these ssd's On a Laptop! 2TB for $99 On Flash sale. I'm in! Wicked Fast. Easy Install. Comes with a heatsink. I was skeptical about this at first but look at the bench! Over 71xx read and 69xx write come on no no no. That will work I think, This SSD is also supported by a limited 5-year manufacturer’s warranty from Adata. It has an estimated MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. Warranty voids should the drive reach 1480 TBW. Great drive, will update in 6mths or so for durability. Try these you won't be disappointed! Really check them out not just ps5 drives!

I have used rotating media hard drives, hybrid drives with very large caches, and solid state drives. The SSD's are the fastest, but are still limited by their SATA technology to a maximum of 600MB/S transfers. This NVMe SSD storage device can transfer data to a compatible motherboard, up to 3,500MB/S. Generally smaller, lighter, and more power efficient as well. I have had good luck with ADATA SSDs in the past, and so far this installed with no issues. It is working as expected. I have no idea if NVMe SSDs can be used for long term storage (more than 2 years, without periodically re-writing the data) but I would have serious doubts about it. Like how it works so far. Just remember "M.2" is a physical specification. A "M.2 SSD" can be either NVMe, or SATA, and you need to buy the correct type, that is supported by your computer. Also a "GEN4" SSD only delivers GEN4 speeds, when it is connected to a GEN4 capable interface. If you plug it into a GEN3 motherboard, you will only get GEN3 speeds.
