We bought a pool it came with a tarp for underneath. It was a little thing 24-27foot pool. I just wanted something little nicer for the pool to sit on. It’s pretty thick material. You don’t have to worry about it. Ripping I like it. I think it once we get the pool set up it’ll look pretty sharp good material. I can’t complain. I mean it’s a little pricey. Do you have to have it? No I guess it’s more for protection case there was a rock or something under there. I didn’t want no punctures you know and to make it look a little nicer. I guess that’s up to you.

I am pleased with the thickness. I bought two just in case. Now I have extra extra cushion. I tried to tear it apart with my fingers to see the quality and it is very tough couldn't even do it. The 10*10 round definitely has a little bit of overhang, but not bad. Now I have a place to step off the grass before entering the pool and wipe my feet off.

I read a lot of reviews about these base liners before choosing one. Many of them had mixed reviews and some claimed to be “just a piece of felt.” So, I was reluctant to spend more on this one, but I did because the reviews checked out and I can confirm that the positive reviews are accurate. We’ve had this setup for almost 2 weeks and it’s very durable. As other reviews have said, if it gets wet it doesn’t stay wet which is a huge bonus. I had a tarp for my intex pool last year and it was constantly disgusting because it would hold water in the little divots that inevitably form on any pool base. This one is more expensive but it’s worth it. It’ll hold up, I didn’t have any sort of scent on mine that was overpowering or bad; it’s waterproof and it’ll block any grass or weeds or rocks from infiltrating your pool.

This pad is expensive, but it is thicker than I expected based on some of the reviews. It is also heavy, due to the size and weight of all that material, and I needed another person to help me spread it out before we set up our above ground pool on top of it. I also have a tarp underneath it, and it has definitely made a noticeably softer bottom and I am no longer worried about anything piercing the liner! Hope it lasts for a few years.

I am very pleased with the quality, thickness, look and design of this for a pool pad. Previously we used multiple square tarps. So tacky and not very thick. This is round just like my pool as well as nice and thick soft and squishy almost and the water runs through it and doesn’t collect or puddle like a tarp. I bought the 18 foot for my 16 foot pool and about a foot of pad sticks out beyond the pool liner. I could trim it but I like it this way. Definitely recommend it.

Put this under our above ground pool and it worked great to keep any rocks away from the liner. Keeps everything smooth. My husband is crazy when it comes to being perfect and I was worried he would still find issues after we used this, but he didn’t! Get it!
