In reviews, people often use the phrase, "you get what you pay for", when referring to disappointing purchaes. I will iterate that same phrase regarding the 9.5 inch COOKLIFE cast iron pan with lid, though will satisfaction. It performs well and satisfies in almost every way. It retains heat incredibly well, it's exceedingly dense and durable, it's easy to clean due to the ceramic coating, and it looks stunning. It's very heavy, though to me, that means heat retention. It does that very well, and heats evenly. Some may find it to be too heavy, and I understand that. Unfortunately, there is no perfect product, and I'm perfectly fine with lugging this pan out of the cabinet, knowing I'm going to experience great performance and enviable results. The weight also exhibits its durability, but so does the coating. The coating is thick, but also very smooth and tight. It doesn't feel prone to degradation or chipping, and the pop of orange color is quite unique. It's not obnoxious, but rather smooth and handsome. The same can be said for the ceramic coating. It's smooth, tight and durable, though this area may be the one weakness I noticed. While it's serviceable in preventing foods from sticking, burnt or really crusty foods are harder to clean than other cheaper pans I've used. Having said that, I learned this recently after cooking food at a high temperature for several minutes. But again, it could be better. Also, the lid is reliable, and the metal frame that holds the glass is well constructed. This unique and versatile pan will soon be a go to for your cooking needs. So long as you don't mind hauling it around, I think you will find many reasons to use it, and because of that, I enthusiastically recommend it.

What I like about this cast-iron pan, is how evenly all my food cooks inside of it, especially when making steaks in this pan. I like the overall quality of this pan, it’s a very heavy weighted pan for its size, and you can just feel the high-quality materials that were used when making this pan, and all the quality features from the handle, to the lid and especially in how well it cooks all your food. I like that this pan comes with care instructions being that it is cast-iron, which have always been what I’ve been worried about when using my pan, but I like that they explain how to take care of your pan, cleaning, and a detailed initial cleaning that you do before the first use. This is my first cast-iron pan and I am a huge fan of this one, I have been cooking everything in this pan! It literally is my favorite pan, and I love that all my food cooks a lot more evenly, faster, and tastes a lot better. There’s nothing that I don’t like about this pan at all, I just wish I would’ve bought a cast-iron pan a lot sooner! Overall, I am so happy that I found this cast-iron pan, and that I decided to get it! I have been cooking so much more with having this pan, and I just like all the options and ways that I can cook with this pan as well. I will recommend this cast-iron pan to all my family and friends, and to anyone looking for their first cast-iron pan, or a great sized cast-iron pan to use when cooking a lot of your kitchen meals, then I would also recommend this to you too.

I love to cook and most definitely with cast iron. I have my sets, but I wanted to find a "skillet" (new) that would undoubtedly be in my collection for the rest of my life. I found it. Here we have an incredible cast iron skillet. In an orange color with a beige inner lining. The cast iron does have weight but I would say that this compared to a cast iron skillet that was not designed to be less weight- this is actually a pretty impressive creation that this designer accomplished. Made Chicken Marsala last night and the cooking was even, the flavor was out of this world. I can tell a huge difference when I use a regular skillet v. cast iron. This iron was made to last. I love the glass lid- I'm able to monitor the cooking and that to me is excellent. The price point is absolutely justified. Matter of fact, I do believe some of my family members will be getting one of these amazing cast iron skillets for Christmas. Based on how amazing this skillet has been thus far, I have no qualms about recommending this to other consumers. A++ Thank you for your time reading my review. I love this pan, it's been great to use, heats up FAST. Clean up isn't too bad either. I'm taking off a star because the beautiful orange color has chipped - I'm not sure if it came like this or happened during use, but I've been babying this so it's more likely it came with the chip but I didn't notice until I started using it.

This definitely feels and behaves like a much more expensive pan than what I paid for it. Build quality is really good and you can feel it in it's weigth. I haven't been gentle to it and it still holds up with no issues

My wife has gotten into doing hot breakfasts (eggs and a meat) and using our existing carbon steel pans. They're well-seasoned, but the meat (Canadian bacon, sausage, etc.) really seems to gunk them up and make things stick. Then you have to scour them, which wrecks the seasoning...it's a vicious cycle. Enter this pan. This is a game changer. The enameled coating works great for non-stick and I love that it isn't Teflon. The pan has good heft to it, being cast iron, but isn't as heavy as something like a Lodge skillet. It has great heat transfer on our gas stove and cooks evenly. The glass lid allows you to see what's happening inside while keeping the heat contained. She really likes the "fall orange" color as well. This is a great pan!
