It's my fault for not looking at the 4" size. But, I needed some of these pins for a utility trailer, which only needs a very short 1 or 2" pin. These are 4" long, which will work but be super weird and long, since it only needs to close up a padlock sized hole for my purposes.

seems to be good quality built, they work perfectly to hold my ramps on my trailer. My trailer has ramps that double as side boards and use these type of hitch pins to hold them in place and these work well for spares as I always seem to lose one here and there.

These pins provide a simple. and easy safety option when towing a trailer. They obviously don't provide theft security, but they do keep the hitch from coming open going down the highway. NOTE: What a 5 star review means to me: A 5 star review on a product in my opinion does not mean a product is perfect. These 1/4” trailer pins are good for more than just securing trailers. My husband has had some near mishaps with metal scaffolding and has found using these clips is much more secure that’s the pins that come with the scaffolding. He uses these for all the connection points, not just a few. These pins are good quality and the set of 8 secures 2 levels of the scaffold. I hope our thoughts and photos help someone.

I ordered these to replace a clip on my tractor, and to have on hand for spares. I like to leave them laying about and drive off with them unsecured. They work as well as any other square clips that I have ever used. They haven't shown any signs of rusting as yet.
