I’ve always wanted a patio heater, but I didn’t want the gas one as I think they put off a smell and changing the tank frequently isn’t ideal for my needs. So I was really excited when I saw this pellet patio heater with the glass viewing window. It has an outdoor fireplace look and the overall aesthetic that I was going for. I’m usually pretty good at putting things together, but this one was a bit of a challenge to install, as some of the parts were not labeled correctly, but I eventually figured it out thanks to another reviewer's great direction. Overall the quality seems sturdy and it looks great. I like the heat that it puts out once it gets going and it works well. It does get hot, so if you have little ones or curious pets you’ll need to be careful, but no more than the regular fire pit that we already use. The media could not be loaded. While not perfect, this is an amazing heater. Like all pellet devices, the heat takes a few minutes to build. But once it gets going, you'll find yourself scooting further back. Instruction manual has a couple errors, but nothing that can't be figured out fairly fast. I really like that the heat is generating low and works it's way up. It surpasses the propane heaters that start high and waste heat. Note: this is NOT TODDLER FRIENDLY. I feel sorry for anyone that rests a hand on this bad boy. ... show more
