Easy to install. Smooth operating and well made. Love the finish. A++++++++ As far as hard to turn, you just need to center it correctly. Loosen the screws just enough to move. Then rotate until the knob turns easily. This works on metal security doors too. Piece of cake!

It was easy to install everything up until the final part where I put the door knob together, one screw didn't fit the hole. I had to take a clamp and hold it while I forced the screw into the hole with a drill, and then it worked. This issue caused the door knob to have scratches, but overall it worked out great and the door feels new. ... show more

Our doorknob broke so I decided to replace with this. Normally I'd get a higher end brand but we're planning to sell soon so we didn't want to spend a ton. I have no complaints about this set except that I'm used to our old doorknob that had an "always opens" feature for emergencies. This one will only open from the inside if it's unlocked. Guests seem to prefer it because you can tell if the door is locked or not (since it won't turn on the inside or outside if it's locked). I'm getting used to that.
