This is a very solid rack, not terribly difficult to assemble. We left for a trip the day after installation, loaded it top to bottom and it performed flawlessly. I really like how deep it is, I felt my gear was more secure.

This basket fits very well on my 2020 Chevy Blazer and add lots more storage for over the road travel. The basket is well built and sturdy. It takes a little while to assemble due to the large amount of screws, but once assembled it looks very good. The only issue I had was that the attachment brackets/clamps have a large opening than most cross bars. I had to cut thick rubber pieces and insert in each clamp so it would mount securely. With that being said, I just used the rack while traveling 1200 miles to Florida and it help up perfectly. It's still new so I'm not sure how it will hold up in the weather, but I plan to use it for the beach while I snowbird in FL for the winter. I'll update in a few months. Otherwise I currently recommend this product!

The rack is easy to put together, but LOTS of screws. I recommend using a drill with the clutch turned way down to run the screws in, but tighten by hand, because the tubing is thin and it would be easy to go too far and totally crush it. I tightened by hand, but to get the kind of torque on them that felt secure, it did crush it a little and some of the paint flaked off where it bent. Not a big deal to me, as this is a desert camping rig. I used 1/4” rivet nuts and cut pieces of all-thread to fabricate some mounts. I drilled the holes for the mounting bolts, because there are no mounting options with it except some high quality, yet pretty well useless u-bolts than could work if you had a factory rack or something, but I still think it wouldn’t be very secure. Overall the outer frame is pretty solid once it’s bolted together, but the pipes that make up the bottom of it a pretty weak. I put self adhesive felt strips on the ribs of the roof and just let the pipes rest on the roof for support. I would say without support I wouldn’t want to put more than 100 pounds or so up there, but with it supported by the roof, it is much better. Spray paint any paint that flakes off because it will rust like crazy. Good rack, expensive for what it is though.

Assembled for my weekend trip. The straps to hold it to the roof don't work!!! They can't be tightened to hold the rack to the roof correctly. Have to find something that will hopefully I can find something to work in time.

The product goes together pretty simply, but it takes a lot of time. I think it is quite sturdy. It is quite heavy, so you need two people to put it on top of your car. The instructions for assembly were way better than some products have. As other people have commented, the brackets that attach to your roof cross bars are the worst part of the installation, but after tightening them as much as possible, I think they are secure enough. When I tested them by pushing and pulling on them the car shook, so I guess they are ok.

Product experience was to my minimal satisfaction. Easy to assemble. Fair quality construction. You better have a cordless drill with clutch to assemble to make life easier. I would never use the little tools the product comes with or you will be there for hours. The kit to attached to cross members(purchased separately to match your own vehicle) was trash. You will receive poor nuts and bolts that are sure to vibrate off on a long trip, and they provided universal braces to attached to cross members and they ware too large so it did not match my application so another trip to the hardware store to modify. Light weight, easy for a strong person to install by themselves. Handled well on a long trip. I only needed it and used it once, so I'm selling it for 1/2 off. Any takers?
