This is by far the best roof rack I've ever had. You cannot beat the price the design and the quality material. This is definitely a direct copy of the prinsu rack but at a fraction of the price. What I like about this rack compared to the other copycats is that the crossbars are the extrusion crossbars which allow you to inserts attachments using t bolts. This fits my double cap Tacoma perfectly. I like that it has a very large weight limit. If I wanted to I could put a rooftop tent on this. It has six attachment points to the roof which is why it's able to have such a high weight limit. Most other roof racks only have four attachment points. I don't get too much noise due to the weather stripping and the wind fairing. I do like the inserts on the wind faring. Is a minor personal touch but I do like that you can customize the color inserts. It has quite a bit of accessories that it comes with that normally would be extra on other roof racks. ... show more

I had been eyeing this roof rack for several months and decided to purchase it during the Memorial Day weekend when a discount was available. The discounted price made it an excellent deal! Unfortunately, I encountered some issues with the shipping process. The initial tracking number provided turned out to be invalid, and I had to spend a couple of hours with customer service to resolve the situation and ensure that a rack was sent out to fulfill my order. Although the packaging was absolutely scuffed, I was relieved to find that nothing was damaged. However, I was disappointed when the UPS delivery person left the package outside my property. Imagine that. Moving on to the rack itself, it is truly fantastic, and I dedicated approximately two days to its assembly and installation. Using a power drill, the build process took about an hour. It's important not to overtighten any components. While it is possible to install the rack alone, it can be physically demanding and may result in scratches on the vehicle. Therefore, having assistance is recommended. Instead of using the provided pads, I opted to use silicone, which allowed me to confidently achieve a proper fit and secure seal. I have washed my truck twice since installation and have not experienced any leaks. Once the rack was completely installed, I loosened and readjusted the bolts to ensure that everything was properly aligned. I installed some harbor freight rock lights as well as some rear chasing lights. Everything was easy to attach and wire. The rack has been a great purchase thus far. In conclusion, the rack looks aesthetically pleasing and remains stable without any vibrations. It is worth noting that there is some additional wind noise due to increased wind resistance, but this is to be expected. Side note: In the event of stripping the roof bolts, there is no need to panic. You can chase the threads or, as a last resort, rethread and go up to the next size. Although I didn't encounter this issue personally, it is a consideration worth mentioning when securing everything in place. ... show more

Love this rack. Works great with overland setup. Easy to install and shipping was fast. Half the price of prinsu. Also have tyger sides step Works perfectly with the rack from going up and down grabbing things from my roof.

Although I have not purchased many or any of this type rack, other than this one, I cannot comment on a comparison level. I will say that I am more than happy with this type and brand. This is my first Tyger product and after installing and road testing I would recommend this purchase to anyone in the market. This rack is super easy to assemble and install, it’s rugged and sturdy, and all threaded hardware installed with ease. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow but some people prefer a video, which is also very informative. I am experiencing zero added road noise. If you assemble and install loosely (but not too loose) then throw it on the taco and line EVERYTHING up and level before you tighten any and all hardware. And follow the faring instruction. Im getting no hums, no vibrations, no whistles or screaming from this rack. And that’s with the sunroof open. If i had to complain, which I’m not, the kit was short 1 washer. I know I know, the police were kinda upset when they got here. But I scavenged a washer from the handles, which I didn’t install. Have not had it on a week yet so no comment on longevity. The only problem I had, was I have trouble mounting the front side of the roof rack, and when I bought a 40in light bar, it Will not fit on the roof rack.

Had to modify the installation to make it leak proof! If you install it as described, it will leak!

    • Roof Rack is nice but…
Love the look and feel of the sturdy rack… but It’s the screws that messed it up!!! Too cheaply made and it strips right away when I’m gently trying to tighten it and it strips!!! Then when I try to reverse the screw back out… it strips even more!! Please upgrade the screws. Now I have to go find new screws smh ... show more
