Low reviews are installer error. This is simple. Follow the video attached to this listing. If the screw seams too short simply push it inward towers the glass and push down on the last iv a little and screw on the nut. Takes less then 15 mins to install

first and foremost. I am 100% real and not a bot or paid reviewer. I ordered this because of an upcoming road trip from SA, TX TO LA, CA. I decided I wanted to drive my Tesla MYLR rather than my Range Rover Sport to save money on Gas. I could not justify paying over $500 for some racks so I read every single review here before purchasing as well as watched the videos. I Installed the night it arrived in the dark by myself (using phone flashlight). I DID NOT read the instructions provided. I simply watched the installAtion video from the seller and it took me 15-20 mins to install ALONE! I attached a Thule Motion XT XL and I have driven it for 3 days at speeds up to 85 mph with no issues. if you watch the video and install carefully you CANNOT go wrong. I read a comment on here saying they cracked the glass. HAS TO 100% be human error because if you watch the install video and do as they say this is easy as hell. UPDATE: Drove to California (1400 miles) with this cargo box fully loaded to 115 Lbs, drove 85mph almost the entire way, NO ISSUES. A bit of wind noise FROM THE BOX at that speed.

EDIT: Fixing my rating to 4 stars now as the fit and finish is not flawless, but it is exactly as expected from a product that costs less than half the real thing. The seller reached out to me. They have added a contact option on their store front now. They also sent me new caps. After some fiddling around, I got everything to fit properly. FOR THOSE WHO BUY THIS, DO NOT CRANK DOWN THE NUTS ALL THE WAY! go buy a small 1/4in torque wrench and tighten to 2.5nm. You need a little gap between the rack and the rubber boot for the plastic covers to slide on properly, otherwise they will always seem short. 2.5nm is plenty tight for these racks. I can’t move them at all with my hands. ———— Mounts and installs fine, it’s sturdy too. But 2/4 plastic caps don’t fit properly, and there’s no way to contact these guys to get new ones. Big fail on the seller’s end. There are some plastic caps sold separately by a different company, tried those and they don’t even match up properly. Such a shame as this could be a killer product if they had some customer support for issues like this.

I was very optimistic about this product and didn’t think there would be a problem installing but i was wrong and every other low rating review was right. Inconsistency with manufacturing. Bolts not long enough for the front rack. Unable to install and use for my trip. You get what you pay for. There is another review here that required the guy to make another trip to his local hardware store and modify the rack for fitting. Well, that sucks. You would hope that by purchasing this product no additional parts or trips to the store would be necessary. After reaching out to the seller he was kind enough to send me another hardware package however that didn’t fix the initial problem. Bolts too short for model y front rack. Now I’m stuck with a product I can’t return and won’t fit my car.

Ok was a bit nervous about aftermarket roof rack bars - but decided to give it a try since Tesla is charging 3X the cost. I found a video online by searching the brand name and Telsa and was able to follow it very easily. The only challenge I found was making sure you gently pull back the weatherstripping when putting the hook bolts in place. I used a tiny flathead screwdriver to lift the weatherstripping and then the provided plastic tool to slide into gap. Also...Of course anytime you are tightening down four corners of anything with bolts - you want to make sure you evenly crank down on the hand-tightening bolts to make sure the pressure is evenly distributed and the rack bars are adjusted into place properly. I found the provided torque wrench a little confusing but realized you just pull on the black handle until it slips and won't tighten anymore. This was just about 1/2 turn tighter than hand tightening. I didn't experience any noises or other problems. The rack seems super solid and will drive and test tomorrow!

I installed these a couple of days ago and was happy to have a nice looking rack for a fraction of the cost of Tesla's($127 CyberMonday) but I am considering returning it after our Christmas tree trip. When I got home I had noticed that the driver side front bar had move back 1/4. It stood out because it was sitting back from the ppf that they provided. All 4 of the corners were secured down to 3.5 nm using my torque wrench. I also figured out that the locks weren't working. I had forgot to unlock it when I went to correct the movement of the bar which should of stopped me from backing off the nut but it didn't. Any suggestions? If not I will probably remove them and purchase them through Tesla when I need it again.

Was surprised by how similar (nearly identical) it is to the original tesla roofbars. The more I was surprised that it ended up cracking my roof glass. Just got it replaced yesterday for almost $1800... not worth it! Just pay the $500 and have Tesla install it. That way if something happens you'll have warranty... you live and learn.
