In the past month I have replaced 4 ceiling fans. This particular one was to replace a covered patio fan. It was selected due to it being 72in and because the description saod that it was 8000 cfm. The fan arrived and on the box it says that the fan is actually only 6768cfm. I was very disappointed and was concerned about installing the fan since I was misled. After giving it some thought, I decided to open the box. When I did, I found that the fan was very well packaged. The materials seemed solid, and the appearance of the fan was spot on for what I was looking for. I decided to keep the fan despite being misled about the cfm rating. The fan assembly was easy. The parts seemed to be of high quality and went together without issues. Took down the old fan and had the new one up and running in no time. I used the 20" rod and was able to connect this fan to my Bond hub so it's now a smart fan as well. The light is bright and the fan does move a lot of air. Time will tell as to how it will perform and last but this far consider it a good purchase. ... show more

Received the 1st fan and the blade motor had issues. Sent that fan back and received its replacement in 2 days. The replacement fan works just fine. Not a bad fan for the price.

    • Powerful & Quiet

We LOVE this fan. It's in a big living room with a tall ceiling & catwalk to upstairs bedrooms. We run this fan 10+ hours per day during the summer. It is so quiet and powerful, we will probably also use it some during the winter. We wish we had replaced our old fan years ago. It's pretty unusual for us to bother using the light, we have better options in the room. Details: We installed this in a room with an 18' ceiling, using our old/existing 72" downrod that looked very much like the downrods that came with the fan, just longer. We rented scaffolding to make installation possible, but it was a process (not the fan's fault; the cost of scaffolding, extension wiring, tools, and shrink connectors, etc. - all added up to about the same amount as the fan). The main unexpected installation struggle was sufficiently bending the wires that come out the top of the downrod so that we could get the remote receiver in place (it is a _tight_ fit). So, if you use downrods that didn't come with the fan, be aware it will take some effort to get the remote control receiver to fit, even if the downrod looks correct. Balancing was straightforward with the included weights & directions. Pros: •Powerful - this thing moves a lot of air •Quiet - SO quiet •Remote control is great - we love every feature •Timer (hit the 1 or 3 hour timer button & head to bed, knowing it won't needlessly run all night) Meh: •Light is OK, but doesn't get as bright or dim as we had hoped; 3 colors are nice, but because there is only a single button on the remote, you have to cycle to the one you want. It would be _super_ nice if the remote had a separate button to change color/temperature. •It takes a few seconds for the fan to respond to the remote (hit the button & literally count to 3) •The installation video & directions don't match - but this is potentially helpful Cons: None ... show more

A more expensive fan would probably blow this away but it does work well. Very quiet and easy enough to install. Moves plenty of air in my shop. Looks good too. Would buy again at the price. When you're installing, the fan will not run until all blades are installed. Safety feature I guess. Sucks when trying to make sure it's hooked up before putting it all together though. Anyway, it also does a weird little back and forth thing when starting. Another safety protocol I guess. Don't be afraid when you see it do this. It will start up within a few seconds. I replaced a 52" Hunter fan I installed on a 36" down rod 25 years ago. (The high speed no longer worked.) Less than 2 hours to install the new fan. It wobbled like crazy on speeds 4, 5, and 6. So I started trouble shooting.... 6 hours later I gave up and ordered another brand.. In the last 3 years I have installed 8 fans at my daughter's place, and NO out of balance issues.
