I have a car with a bad battery. So it is a good test to see if this unit will start under this circumstance. It passed by starting the car first try without having to push the boost button. Like others have said, this is something you hope to keep charged and in the car, and never really use. I have used an older one once before, and it was a lifesaver, so I recommend everyone have one! Even though I haven't had to use this yet, the feel of the device is quality. I like digital screen, and the fact that it doubles as a power bank for road trips if needed (though if you drain it too much, you may have trouble using it for its intended purpose).
