I have worn full arm sleeves to protect myself from bruising since I began to have truly thin skin. I am 73 and take aspirin and Ibuprofen, and the blood bruising patterns can be truly shocking. Last year we bought a mini-Aussie who is beloved, even though she is part Tasmanian Devil. She can really do a number on my arms, especially the left one. The full sleeves are prohibitively hot in Florida, as are long sleeve shirts. These little guys don't make me sweat badly, are comfortable enough to sleep in and keep the dog from ripping my arm off. These work really well gardening and just navigating my house. I have very delicate skin and tear easily just the corner of a freezer bag! These help with that problem. If you have long fore arms, they are short. Don’t know about cooling, doesn’t seems so.

Well, when first asked to review this product, I had to say I hadn't received it yet. I got it the other day and it is as advertised. Nicely made and does the job I wanted it to do. I didn't buy it to prevent any cuts. I am using it for something else.

These are what I feel would be excellent protection. But the L/XL size was too small to get on comfortably. They stopped a bit below the elbow, which is still OK for forearm protection. They would be 5 Star if they were large enough to be useable. (I don't have large forearms: 11.5" max circumference, so L/XL should fit easily). Had to return them. NOTE: If you are looking for TIGHT protectors, these may work well! ... show more
