Professional quality, nicely designed, ergonomic design for safe and efficient use. The cutting wheel safety shielded with a heavy gauge steel guard which is hinged and can be accessed by one giant bolt. The cutting blades are very thick and pocketed into the wheel a nice strong design. The power feed was extremely useful making feeding in the branches and up to 6” logs enjoyable. The reversing feature is also very important, allowing clearing stuck branches safely. The design is extremely professional and heavy duty. It is built with heavy gauge steel which has been CNC laser cut. Everything fit together perfectly. The fold up feed shoot allows efficient storage when not in use! The chipper weighs 750 lbs. this is a beast! The fly wheel is large and heavy and maintains inertia to aid in chipping speed. I installed on my John Deere 3032 tractor which has 32 hp - plenty for the chipper! I did have 2 quality issues and both were quickly solved by Mech Maxx’s customer service. 1) some paint scuffs (they reimbursed for the correct color spray paint) 2) a under sized o-ring on the hydraulic tank, (they quickly FedEx a replacement!) The purchase cost was low and on sale after Xmas and thousands $ less than other similar chippers. The owners manual is very well written and includes CNC assembly drawings including the numbered parts list which I very much appreciate!
