This is so much better than the mini analog thermometers I normally use. The good thing about those mini thermometers is that they are cheap. The bad things are that you have to open the door to the grill or oven to read them (letting heat out), and eventually, the smoke (if using a grill) stains the glass so much that they are very difficult to read. This eliminates those issues. I cooked some jerked pork loins and had the base right by the Stainless grill. Everything worked as advertised. I had zero issues with the app or the hardware once everything was all charged. I just had to cut the meat to a size to accommodate the probe's recommended insertion depth, which was about 3-3/8" or so. So for really small cuts, like a petite fillet mignon this may be too long a probe. Cleanup was a snap as well. Just hand clean and dry the sensor. Clean it while warm so any cooked on bits come off easily. This is definitely not inexpensive, so look to grab it if there's a sale or a coupon to clip. Count me as a satisfied user. Two bad they are not two in a pack vs just one.

I love being able to put this thermometer in whatever I'm cooking and just monitor it from my phone. No more heat loss when I open the oven or grill to check the temp manually. And no more over (or under) cooked meat. Everything has turned out perfectly! Setting up the app was easy for me, but I've used things like this before so I already kind of knew what I was doing. I highly recommend!

This bluetooth thermometer is the thing cooks and bbq’ers don’t realize they need until they have it. Before this, the problem we have when cooking low and slow is that we don’t really know what the internal temperature of the hunk of meat we have cooking is based on anything other than experience, without risking a huge drop in the cooking temperature because we had to open the bbq pit or oven door to check temp, letting out a lot of our hot air and letting in cold air, changing the cooking of the food we’re trying to check on. Now you can just plug it in and check wirelessly on your phone, from the comfort of your AC or at least from the shade while your bbq is coasting along. Even with the analog plug-in-and-leave thermometers, they can lose calibration and the cooking process itself often leads to the glass becoming opaque and dirty, making it hard to read. Not so with this, as you can just whip out your phone and check. I have NOT tested this in extreme high heat conditions though, as I don’t want to risk breaking this. Besides, plugging this into something I’m grilling doesn’t make sense, as there’s not enough purchase to hold accurately in a steak anyway. I do know though, that for roasting temperatures this works fine. If you need a thermometer for reading things you’re grilling, I’d recommend getting an instant read digital probe that’s long enough to keep your hands from becoming grilled meat instead. This is too small for this purpose.

This leave in wireless thermometer works great and is so helpful because you don't have to be next to your grill while it's cooking. Granted, you can't go too far because of the Bluetooth range but I can work around in the garage and still watch the temperature. Easy to use and clean. Highly recommend!

I've struggled to use the FanenAED 3 Model Wireless Meat Thermometer. It only seems to connect to my phone when the oven door is open, which defeats the purpose of having a bluetooth meat thermometer. I don't know if it's just the stainless steel oven construction that's blocking the signal, but it won't connect. Also, the thermometer is designed to only work if the entire shaft is enclosed in the meat - so it doesn't help for thinner cuts or shallow dishes - limiting its usefulness.

I was actually kind of surprised how easy this thermometer is to use. It’s well constructed and uses its case for charging. The app works really smoothly, and my phone and the thermometer keep a strong connection even when I’m in the kitchen and have something on the grill just outside. I am really pleased with the app overall; that can often be the weak link in something like this, but so far it’s been working really well. Using the app is sometimes a little more complicated than just viewing the temp on the actual thermometer, but overall, I’m really happy with this.

Not rated for the heat of the grill necessarily, but works great for the oven. Pretty neat. Way more functional than the old remote style we had.
