Being portable, you can move it, but realize it is bottom heavy! It heats up quickly. It is radiant heat. For example, when it is cold outside, but the sun warms you. The air does not become warmer, you feel warmer. Same concept.

I thought it would push out heat but you have to be close to it. It still warms you if you are close to it, but if you have a group it would be hard for everyone to get warm.

Update, changed from 5 star to 1 star: barely lasted 3 months before quitting. Super bummed and costed too much for that. After that I would not recommend. I’m using this on my porch for stray cats and for our pellet grill. Works well. Cats are loving it. Might get one for our she shed as well.

It comes with 2 remotes and have 3 settings. You have to be careful with having small kids around because it is VERY hot to the touch. We used the heater in our garage during the freeze a week ago to keep our pipes from bursting like they did before and it gave off pretty good heat. It was still cold in the garage but it kept it warm enough to where our pipes didn't bust this time. Very pleased!

Right off the bat I want to make clear that this heater does what it says. The only thing I haven't tested is its water resistance, but I'm using this inside so that's not an issue for me. This is a radiant heater which is pretty different from regular space heaters I've had. This as advertised does not heat the air but the humans in it's heating radius. This means you/and others get heated up very quickly. But your space will not have the same warmed feel to it. The space gets warmer just not as much as with a regular space heater. This seems heavy duty and well made-which does have a bit of a downside (I'll get to that). The operation is very straight forward and simple to understand. With a clear digital indicator to let you know exactly what heating mode you're in. Comes with two remotes, which is a thoughtful touch. It's a good way to get warm in a cold space. So here are my two issues: 1)there is some assembly to this. one part the base is quite heavy and due to its design is perhaps most efficiently screwed on with two people. There's a kind of a guard to keep you from getting too close to the heater. Again there are no instructions and putting this on took some close looks at the Amazon ad and then figuring out what you do (two pieces, with a hook each. these have to be inserted at the back of the unit. Kind of by feel). This unit is heavy. Which makes it quite stable, but there is no good built in handle to carry it. I use the heater guards-mentioned above-but it always feels like an overlooked aspect of the unit. Also this does work but the design has a very out-dated-to my eyes at least-'70's utilitarian "style". This will not be a fashion addition to a well made up room. The look really kind of threw me. In the end I use this mainly in an unheated workshop in my basement. Looks aren't important there and the heating aspect is. And my workshop has never been more comfortable than with this heater in it. Quite satisfied.

This is a very nice heater that can be used in varuoius areas of your home. It is water resistant, so it can even be used outside. The heater has a heavy base to reduce knock overs, and there is a safety cage that prevents aany hot surface of the heater from coming into contact with the ground in the event that it does tip over. This heater heats up very fast and provides nice soothing heat. It comes with two remotes so you can control the settings without getting off the couch. This is a great quality heater.

I have three senior pups that refuse to go out in the rain and/or cold weather to do their business. To make them more comfortable and to keep our house clean, we set up a temporary shelter in the backyard to make them a covered outdoor potty area. I got this to keep the area warm and it’s exactly what we needed. It heats up quickly and provides a nice steady heat. Since it’s narrow, the pups are able to knock it over but is has tips protection and a cage at the top that will keep it from touching the ground. It also comes with two remote controls which is a nice touch since we are always misplacing remotes. Overall, it’s a great heat source, has a small footprint and is really quiet. I love it.

The first thing that stood out to me about this heater is the price of $118. That seems very steep, so I had very high expectations for it. When it arrived, I realized it is very solid. It had a concrete base that gets screwed into the heater for stability. It is quite heavy and works well. The holes in the base had plastic overfill in them, so I had to force the screws through on a couple but it worked. The heater itself looks very nice. The little protector pieces that screw to the top were odd and didn’t line up great but I got it to work well enough. I got this heater for outdoor use on a patio. It gives out a decent amount of radiant heat but you need to be pretty close to it to really feel it. If you were having a gathering, several would be needed. The cord was shorter than I would expect for something that isn’t supposed to be plugged into an extension cord. It comes with two remotes which is nice. Overall, it is a decent heater that looks nice and works okay outside, but not worth the price for me. If price isn’t an issue, I’d recommend it more for indoor use to contain and build up the heat it lets off.
