This metal hose has good-quality connectors on both ends that give it a feeling of quality. I already had a much longer metal hose so I was familiar with them before I ordered this one. They are lightweight and easy to work with. They do not kink or crush. If you need a 10-foot hose (this one is a few inches short), I recommend this one. I caution you, though, that 10 feet is pretty short for a hose. I ordered it with a specific purpose in mind, but I should have measured better first because 10 feet was not enough. Since it didn’t work for my original purpose, I’ve simply screwed it onto the end of another hose to make that one 10 feet longer. ... show more

I have 2 of these daisy chained together. They look too thin for a 3/4 hose. I think internally they are 1/2 with 3/4 garden hose ends. With that being said I'm still getting really good water flow through them. The steel protects the hose against animals or whatever. They look sort of ugly but they are quite durable. They are also more flexible than you would expect for something with steel armor. 10 foot is kind of short, but like I said you can link them together to make any size you want.     • Down sides are it's a bit heavy and it doesn't shrink like the flexible ones
This worked really well for me in my home garden, I was tired of my hose twisting up into kinks and was a mess to deal with after using it. This did help with that situation, but I think the only drawbacks are that it is indeed metal so it's going to be heavier than your normal hose and it doesn't shrink back smaller like your flexible hoses. Otherwise it works great, no leaks and definitely made for heavier duty applications, it'll withstand scratches on the concrete and still perform well. ... show more

The the quality and design of this hose has made it my new favorite spring purchase. It easily and seamlessly attaches to all my watering devices, sprinklers and shut off valves. I don't have to worry about any parts of this hose cracking due to a night below freezing that we have every once in a while throughout the spring. It also looks nice in storage because the dirt and the mud is easily washed off, unlike my expandable hoses, keeping my garage, shed and work area nice and clean. My favorite part is that I am able to attach this hose to parts of my other hoses that stretch long areas where weed whacking happens a lot or areas with large thorny rose bushes helping me to keep my existing hoses for multiple seasons rather than having to buy multiple hoses every season. ... show more

    • do not use with a crank type hose take-up reel!

I thought this flexible hose would be perfeect for my front and rear yard crank-type hose reels. WRONG! The hose changes diameter its tension when the hose is filled and after the water bib is turned off. If you wait until ALL the water is drained out of the hose, THEN crank it into the carrier and not fill the hose until you pull all of it out of the hose carrier, its not too bad. But that is a big waste of time. Additionally, I never stepped on the hoses of handled them roughly, but 2 exploded at near the middle for no good reason. I bought "standard" hoses to replace all of them and they work fine. ... show more
