Great little rimless tank. The included light is decent but I had to change out the filter within the first two weeks. It did the job for the first two weeks but it was a bit louder than I wanted and I couldn’t find the replacement filter cartridges/media. Pros: Tank is glass and sturdy. The lights are nice and functional. The filter is strong and adjustable. The back of the tank blocks tank from over-exposure to natural sunlight, reducing algae production. Cons: Instructions for tank setup were literally printed in mirror image. I had to take a picture and flip the image so I could read the instructions. As stated from other customers, the filter is leaky. Overall: There are better starter tanks for roughly the same price. However, if height is an issue, lights can make tanks much taller. In this tank's case, the light setup does not drastically affect height as some other tanks do. ... show more

Beautiful tank! For noise sensitive people, if you just leave the lid off of the pump you barely hear anything. The light is adjustable and also has a timer which is a plus. I'm looking forward to seeing my plants get fuller in this tank!

I gave only one star because in less than 12 hrs two of my three fish were sucked into the filter and killed. That’s because I didn’t have it set up correctly. And THAT’S because there are no directions for assembling the filter. The pieces don’t seem to fit together, although once they were assembled they don’t have a seal to make them airtight. So I took a photo and used AI to figure it out. That was hugely helpful and the filter is now working fine and not sucking my fish in. The pump is very quiet and the tank is beautiful. I love the black backing. The light is great too, I love the options and the timer. All in all, I’m happy with the tank and kit, was a good buy for the price. But I am so sad for the two fish that suffered in the tubing of the filter. I lost money on them also, I’ll be going to replace them today as they are schooling fish and the one I have left is by himself. Oh! And the “directions” are in mirror image so I used my camera to flip it but they’re useless anyway. **update: six months in and the tank is leaking. It has never been overfilled, has nothing too heavy in the tank or overcrowded. The leak is not near the filter or any tubing. There are no cracks. Very disappointed. Will have to spend more money on new tank and inconvenienced with having to make time to change out everything. Not to mention the stress on the well established fish & snail. DO NOT BUY THIS!!! ... show more

We have had this tank assembled for a couple months - it is sturdy, has not leaked. The components work well - it was hard to figure out how to get filter cartridge replacements for the filter - but we did get the right link to order more from the seller. So far, so good!
